I have this in 65" size and it is incredible. Everything is vibrant, it is incredibly bright and the blacks are impressive with the mini LED local dimming zones.
Yeah, no improvement. What TiVo device do you use?
I have not done the quick calibration...only the professional via SmartThings. Pro takes 10 minutes or less and it will turn off all the 'enhancements' itself. If you have the time, try the professional mode.
I have a Roamio on my 65' and Mini Lux (connected to Roamio via Cat6) on my 75'. Both stellar pictures on cable based on the source material. Find myself watching MLB teams I don't even like just because the picture looks that good.
I hope the professional works for you. Honestly, did wonders for my sets vs. out of the box. My 65' replaced Panasonic Plasma which was one of the best plasma's ever and these TV's have the picture popping with colors let alone HDR when applicable.
Also saw this. Seems decent, any input? Tv shopping makes my brain hurt
Good for a small room or bedroom. Or large bathtub. In general, the bigger the better, if it fits. 77" good tv much better than 55" excellent tv in most cases
Stay clear of this tv. I have 65 inch version and its UI is very slow. Even after so many firmware updates, it isnt any better. Go for LG OLED.
What do you recommend that has a better UI that has absolutely no loss in picture quality ie panel uniformity, color accuracy, black levels, brightness and upscaling to name a few?

I bought the 55" about a month ago. I have two LG OLED's but I am in love with this TV. Its the one that I use for cable (DIrecTVNOW) and the upscaling and SDR brightness is great. Much better then my TCL 635 which I always felt had too soft of an image. Brightness is off the scales awesome in HDR video games and movies. I love OLED but it isnt the optimal choice for every application. I highly recommend this TV with the following caveat. Go through it with a fine tooth comb. My first attempt at purchasing one had dirt or muck obscuring several pixels which I've never seen on an LCD TV before. The QC isn't the best but man oh man if you get a good one you are in for a treat.

rtings.com says
"The Hisense U8H is better than the TCL 6 Series/R655 2022 QLED."
Then they go on to say that the Samsung is better than the Hisense
"
The Hisense U8H and the Samsung QN90B QLED deliver very similar picture quality overall, but the Samsung is a bit better overall. "

I simply can never go back to the Tizen interface again and I'm not saying Sony and LG have awesome interfaces, just superior to Tizen IMO.

The Samsung is better than the Hisense and the Hisense is better than the TCL
So that would suggest
1. Samsung
2. Hisesne
3. TCL
