i dont know how to stop loving someone.

the guy im in love with is going to join the air force and wont ever be moving back here. i always thought we'd be together, get married and grow old together. it kills me inside to know he loves me but isnt in love with me anymore. i cant date anyone because i'll just keep comparing them and think "he's not adam". i've never really been in love with someone and not have them love me back the same way. i dont what to do. i dont feel like time heals all wounds. i dont feel like any amount of time will stop me from being in love with him.

BTW, being single for an extended period of time isn't a bad thing. A man isn't supposed to complete you they are supposed to compliment your already wonderful life.

Join the Air Force for a guy? I see nothing but bad things from something like that. Men and women don't generally join the serves because they want a date.

no way in hell am i joining the air force Nono. its something he's always wanted. he was in the army, but was discharged. he likes that sort of life i guess.

Usually I might agree. But when someone openly admits to dealing with depression, I don't think cruel "mob mentality" is the best way to answer their question.

i've heard that the best way to get over a guy is to get under another one Coverlaugh .

seriously though, is a rebound guy something that actually helps get over a different guy you are madly in love with?

Dontknow after i broke up with my ex (other one of 7 years) i didnt really get a boyfriend until this guy a year later. i went through a depression at first, then i tried to move on and met a bunch of guys doing online dating sites. that's how i met him.
