Have these exact clamps and they see use every day. Have had them for almost three years and not a single failure.

Worth noting that these are not meant to apply the same pressure as a clamp with threaded tensioners. If you apply too much force, the plastic triggers will likely break.

Keep in mind this is for 6-in clamps. It's not meant for many projects other than small items

I actually use 6in clamps a lot for bracing glue-ups with joinery

Some say they screwed up the visegrip tool. Maybe, but I still think Irwin hand tools are near the top for providing the best value to customer !

Same price at Menards, but they also offer 11% mail-in rebate should you care to go that extra mile for $1.34 less. (I guess actual net savings of 64 cents after stamp...which hardly seems worth it)

If you're a typical Menards shopper, you would probably be buying more than a clamp set in this trip and you likely also have a whole pile of receipts from the last few weeks that can all be mailed in together making the stamp cost in relation to the clamps somewhat negligible.

The plastic housing flexes long before it breaks or stresses the triggers, so it's really hard to actually cause damage.

I've overloaded them trying to push out bearings and bushings before. No damage and they still work great, but not able to apply the force I wanted, which I don't blame on the clamps.

These are really great affordable clamps, that are miles better than the similarly priced Harbor Freight ones. 50% of my Harbor Freight ones slip before I can apply enough pressure to get glue squeeze out when clamping pieces of wood. These Irwin ones have no issue applying enough force.

Love these things and use them all they time. They are my most used-clamp. I find myself using all 4 fairly often. I use them for clamping things down that need medium force (stop blocks, non-fixed tools, holding still for screwing or joinery, etc). Honestly, I don't think I need more than 4 of them (I can always use a bigger size if I have to), but this is a good deal, especially if your Menards has them in stock and you're a serial rebater like myself.

No, they don't work like that. You would just need a longer bar to make that work. Check Harbor Freight.

These are great. Using them right now for a one man diy solar install. They are holding the panels to the racking while I align and bolt them down.
