Usually nothing for existing customers.

Cancel your service now, sign up for this deal under a different name (someone else that lives with you)

That's how I've gotten yearly deals

On Gigabit tier $70 a month with Autopay from checking. Everytime my offer runs out, something or other works out with Xfinity. If one CS doesn't help, disconnect and call again. Doing this since 10+ years. I have Verizon available in my area as well which is tad cheaper on gigabit tier, but I keep Xfinity.

Xfinity pricing is always based on the fact how much people can spend in their service area + how many other competitors are there. So lot of YMMV.

Yes, it only means they lock you into that price for 2 years, without risk of increase. You can cancel anytime. If a better deal came along, I could switch to it I presume.

if I cancel at the middle of billing cycle. Will they refund the left over date? Or should I wait for the end of the billing cycle?

Thanks

Ask them to cancel as of last day of your cycle. Then activate new service, or you will see two bills.

I just noticed an offer on the Xfinity Mobile site that you can get a free unlimited Intro line with this plan

Not sure if the trade in promos also apply if you are buying a phone, guessing no because than you would have a negative bill with bill credits , unless its one bill with your cable service

Anyone know other deals on Xfinity Mobile or sign up bonuses - I am only on the 200Mbps plan but might consider switching if I could get the deal

My bill just went up to $68/month for the 200 Mbps service. I checked the current offers and can get the same service for $50.29/mo for 12 months.

Is that the best rate I can get without having to make a new account?

I'm in Houston where xfinity doesn't have much competition, unfortunately..

Edit: scratch that. I went through the "move to this address and set up new service" process and ended up with the 75 Mbps service for $25.15/month total. It's downgrade but enough speed still I guess..

Evil, evil, EVIL company. Get it? What you want to do is get far way from them.

If you have a TMobile 5G tower nearby then they might be the current least evil.

Has anyone done the account switcheroo for home internet while you have xfinity mobile? The steps to switch to a new customer outlined here seem pretty clear but I'm not sure how things work if you have mobile. I currently have 4 lines, 3 of which are under contract with device credits. If I cancel/sign up as a new user for home internet will my new account link up with my mobile account?

Edit: one of the lines on my mobile plan could end up becoming the the new account owner, would xfinity pick up on this change automatically?

But that is how I used the same account, name, payment info, etc and was back online with NEW USER pricing within about 30 minutes (could have been 5 if I had started with the other modem).

Zero phone calls have been required so far. We will see how the billing shakes out but it saved me $1,320 over the next 24 months.
...
This was helpful. Thanks

Not so fast, more likely than not you'll be double billed.

Xfinity was a HUGE pain for them to get it going technically. They bought out the competition, and lied to me about the plan deal, I read it all. they lied to me about a free upgrade as resolution, didn't give it, stuffed my bill, then denied resolution(weeks on the phone for hours and yes being polite about it); so I shut it down. They lied about what I owed and added penalties enough to damage my credit rating.

They are evil. Pure evil.

Please stop them.

Here's what I did.

Do not log in first.

Enter my address.

Xfinity said there is already service at that address.

Select move here as new service.

Select the plan you want and go through the steps. Make sure you use their provided equipment, there's no charge, to qualify for unlimited data and free Peacock.

When at final checkout page, I think it was the final page, sign in using your current credentials, review pricing, and checkout.

Less than a minute later, an automated email confirming that I just signed up for new service.

Within that minute, another automated email arrives saying I request to cancel the old account.

I signed up on Sunday. Yesterday, I received a shipping confirmation for the equipment and another email that my old service is cancelled as of 7/31. Today, the old service is still working. I am told that even if you canceled by phone, it takes several days to actually disconnect. The equipment arrives tomorrow. The best part is not having to deal with their reps.
We did it exactly the way you described, and everything happened just as you said. Amazing. We do not need unlimited data and have our own modem, so we got on the chat, and the agent transferred the modem's CM MAC from the old to the new account. This will save us $35/month vs. the renewal rate and $10 vs. the original rate. Everything was a breeze. Thanks so much!

So you don't first cancel and then sign up for the new service? Signing up for the new service automatically cancels the old one? Also, I am ready using my own modem with the current service. You selected "own modem" and it went through? Just needed to chat to register modem MAC?

No, you don't first cancel. You just keep on going as if you are moving to a new address (which is your current address), choose "your own modem" if that is what you want, and complete the order by logging into the current account. This causes the existing service to be automatically canceled (you get an e-mail about that right away) and the new service to be put in (you get an e-mail about this almost simultaneously as the other).

Once you get these two e-mails, you call or chat with an agent to transfer the MAC # from the old to the new service.

By the way, the old service was alive the whole time until the MAC transfer of the modem occurred (I did it about 90 minutes after I put in the new order).
