I have a generic, no name version of this I bought from Amazon 2 years ago for maybe $40. I love it!
I wasn't expecting much, but now I hardly ever use my brushless 12" Ryobi chainsaw anymore. If you have lots of pruning to do with 1" to 4" branches, having a lightweight, 1-handed mini chainsaw is a revelation. It's so fast, so lightweight, and slices through branches that are stubborn for a lopper like they're butter.
I'd say if you have just a few branches, go with the reciprocating saw you already have. But if you're doing any kind of volume pruning, a mini chainsaw is a gamer changer.

Reciprocating saw is better.

You might as well but a reciprocating saw, which has far more uses around the house.
Wrong,
Lots of applications for this. Like, medium sized branches that are within reach. Much faster than a reciprocating saw and far easier on your hands and wrists as it doesn't vibrate like mad.
Remember YOUR use case isn't the entire product market.
