I would sure hope that a suitcase will survive way more than 10 international travels. Definitely expecting a few decades from Samsonite. I have basic Swissgear check in size suitcase that I bought for $60 15 years ago or so, still going strong. It survived 20 or so transatlantic trips with multiple transfers so far and I don't expect it to break any time soon.
I think even $30 luggage from a discount store should survive 10 international trips.

Decades 😂. What airline do you fly? Even the top suitcases wouldn't last decades. They don't exactly baby them.

I have these and $160 for a set is a slick deal, IMO. The quality is pretty good - I recently took a 3-week multi-city trip to Asia with no issues - and all three sizes are useful depending on the type of travel you're doing.

Double wheels roll smoother but are more susceptible to breaking when mishandled by the baggage people. Side impacts crack them or bend the axle shaft.
