The Platinum Plus makes a difference for me. I bought the last deal for these Platinum pods thinking they they'd have to be nearly just as good. But I definitely noticed a difference. Frown

I just started using cascade and it leaves my dishes with a fragrance. Is that normal or is there something wrong?

Lots of fragrance in the platinum-plus version. Used it once and it took me three more rinse cycle with a free-and-clear one to get rid of the smell. Even the food cooked in those utensils were left with that fragrance.
Returned the whole thing.

Buy the free and clear one, and thank me later.

Try WD40. Works on permanent markers to. Spray a little bit on a paper towel and wipe it off.

I run my dishwasher daily, especially in the summer when the kids are home. If I am lucky, maybe I run it 6 times in a week. And I consider myself a professional dishwasher loader, unlike my wife who just throws everything in.
