People that frequent slickdeals probably are the type that would have more demanding spec requirements. But 8GB would be more than plenty for the majority of people that shop at Best Buy. Most are not gamers, professional content creators, people that need to run 5 VMs simultaneously. Most are just surfing web, checking emails, watching videos.

People complaining that 8GB is not enough in 2023 are just delusional of market demands. I prefer 32GB, but I'm not going to crap on a good deal because it doesn't fit me perfectly.

"Digital art" is a broad term. If you intend to draw using a stylus or touchscreen input of any sort, this would be terrible. Otherwise, it's fine.

Where are you finding i7 32gb? Max I can find is 16gb? They have a discrete graphics option with 32gb which I got no use for and I am worried about battery life hit on discrete graphics. Willing to pay premium for 32gb and not willing to buy anything under 32gb in 2023.
