I got one last month for $300. Took it back a few days ago and now it's listed at $345. It ran way to hot for my taste even after I uninstalled almost everything. Any chance this one runs cooler?

Thanks for posting that link. I was looking between the two laptops and I like this one more because of the 4 cell battery and being $50 cheaper. I plan on using it on the field for astrophotography so temperature shouldnt' be an issue since it will be outside in the evenings.

That is just the machine. Almost everything is great except the overheating processor and the short battery life. (The 8GB RAM isn't even as bad in some way)

I had this computer vs the upgrade Zenbook 14X with the 14.5inch, I7-13700, 16gb, 512 for 616 including taxes. Ultimately kept the 14.5, the ram itself was the biggest reason.

First thing to note, you can spend ~$45 more and get the same model laptop, but with much better features (Both are YMMV):

- touch screen vs not touch screen
- 13th Gen Core i5 vs 12th Gen Core i5
- 512gb ssd vs 256gb ssd
- cortana vs cortana and amazon alexa
- 1 x HDMI 2.1 additional on 2023 model (otherwise same)
- 10 hour battery life vs 18 hour battery life (I wonder what the difference is...)

As stated above, it allows you to checkout and get it shipped, but it will cancel within a minute of you ordering it that way. Don't do this, because it will hit your bank with a pending charge.

Honestly, a lot better specs for only $45+tax more. I know this is slickdeals and both of them are pretty good for the price, but the SMART good deal is on that 2023 model. To get a 2023 model with those specs for under $400 is pretty solid.

Honestly wanted to grab the other deal, but couldn't find an open box one locally, and haven't come across one available for shipping. Thought I could "settle" for this one. Looking back, it's probably better that this one was cancelled.

Reasons not to buy this:
You use your laptop on your lap
You use your laptop for meetings
You video or photo edit
You want to play games on this beautiful screen

I returned it and paid double for the 13th gen Intel version. 16 gb ram, 1080p camera, 512gb and same screen. To deal with the thermals upgrade the drive and buy an external camera made the difference worth it

I see the huge difference now. Too bad I bought this one "$50 cheaper" when the other one was still available EEK!

And that certainly explains why the other one is FP with 70+ votes while this one is at 7..
