Miss me with that terrible, 1 FPS drop.
But seriously, people who comment on how terrible 8GB is on an open box, $360 laptop have absolutely zero context for the needs of someone who is buying a used laptop for...again...$360. Seriously Chad and Karen, I get it. I won't be able to command the ISS to do an orbit keeping manuever or manage the Starlink constellation.
I wish my laptop laptop was fasrer. But I only.notice it when I am trying to merge 12 photos in a panorama. Not when I am surfing the internet. I notice in inkscape when I am tracing an image, not when I am managing my finances. Sure...I cannot use Blender and recreate a 1:1 model of Coruscant, but I can watch a youtube video of someone doing that.
Stop soldering RAM on laptops.
Sincerely,
The people who won't take this crap

edit: the screen alone adds a lot of value here, take that away and yes the non upgradable ram is a big downside. I'm one of the first to complain about it on other laptops lol

Just need something for general web browsing and light office work. Not gaming or anything on it so I think 8GB is enough. My last laptop had 8GB for years and I didn't run into issues with it.

If you assume same progression as the 8 year window in the pcmatic chart, the average for laptops in 2023 would be 8.5gb. The average spent is $761. This deal gets you in barely below the average amount of ram for half the average price spent on a laptop.
