Before anyone points it out, yes, this deal was posted before at $500 few months ago. It will likely to hit that price again when BF approaches. $50 more for those not willing to wait.

Again, the 8GB RAM is not upgradable (no RAM slot, soldered!). Here's the previous deal, which is FP. If anyone has any queries can go through the comments over there.
I bought this at the $500 deal and it is a nice laptop, screen is amazing. Anyone who buys can get an extra 20% off by messaging customer service after buying and pointing out that the website describes it as having a touchscreen and that it was falsely advertised. I got this credit fairly easily, hope it helps.
I always appreciate comments like this. 👍

I got mine in the $500 deal and my son has been using it for school and home without issue for a couple months now.

FYI, upgrading the storage drive in this requires you to remove the bottom rubber feet to get to the screws. I was able to reattach mine using the original adhesive, but it was very nerve racking to do so and YMMV. Other than that, the laptop is great and the screen is AWESOME! 8gb is its only downfall, but has not posed any issues so far.

I have had this laptop for a couple of months now. Great laptop for portability, screen size, and style. Been using it for Work From Home usage and it's very capable for that purpose. The 2K OLED screen is quite nice for streaming videos as well. Just giving my user feedback in case anyone that finds it helpful.

....understood about the soldered 8GB, but is there another slot to double for 16GB?

No...
Seriously, 8gb is not going to bother unless you are into heavy image/video etc PROCESSING. I had opened 12 youtube videos running at 1080p and some other tabs in chrome or firefox, there absolutely was no issue. It's a beautiful laptop.

Some things to note, while screen is nice, gaming can see some issues with modern games.

It gets hot and its fast early on, but it struggles when you have a few apps open.

The battery does not last long either. There's another post to thread you can see the complaints we returned it.

Read the actual overview and description. It mentions touchscreen. The conflicting info is enough

I do not do any image/video processing. I agree the average person is fine with 8gb, but there are PLENTY of people that need more than that. There are also people who like to be ready for the future. Windows and browsers are heavy on ram to start with. You can't decide what others need. I am in the market for a new laptop but this soldered ram in all of them has been annoying. I like the smaller form laptops for traveling and many of the new chips have high benchmarks that can support a lot of multitasking but when the ram is so low it becomes your bottleneck. Personally I am looking for something that is capable of 16 at least but would prefer higher. Stop throwing a hissy fit and expecting everyone to just use a computer the way you do.
