Seriously; Stop complaining. This is a $500 laptop and it comes with non budget components. This laptop will be easily $1000 or more if it came with a 16GB RAM.

This is an excellent laptop for its price.

Yeah if it had 16GB at least I think I would pick this up an use external thunderbolt gpu to play games when I want and the rest as a regular sleek laptop. But no 16GB is really limiting especially when you cant upgrade it.

Thank you for your post cause I just bought one! Yeah! 8 gigs should be enough right for daily use and with the new 12p processor it should be okay! It's cheap and oled too!

I'd consider this to be a media consumption device. Basically a tablet with a keyboard attached, and for that, the price is reasonable considering it has an OLED panel.

Even a $399 Steam Deck comes with 16GB DDR5, so 8GB is definitely not great if you want to use it for gaming or as a workstation.

Really nice! Is memory definitely not upgradeable? What about the SSD?

What a steal. That 8gb of ram though... and unlike last year's MX450 model, any gaming will use part of that 8gb of ram for the iGPU unlike the VRAM's dedicated 2gb... Hard pass for anything other than only content watching on the OLED screen

RAM is definitely not upgradeable, which is normal for these super thin laptops. The NVME drive isn't soldered, so it can be upgraded. Though, I don't believe it has a spare slot, so you'd have to replace the existing drive and reinstall Windows.

This laptop checks a lot of boxes. This will be a good upgrade from my Samsung Pro 360 11th gen i7 16gb/512gb
Honestly, it sounds like it would be more of a side-grade. Yes, the 12th gen CPU is a bit faster, but you'd be downgrading to 8GB of RAM and less storage. The Samsung has a slightly better AMOLED screen, as well. Honestly, I think I'd rather have the Samsung, even if they were the same price.
Edit: after looking more into it, the laptop in OP would be a downgrade. The i7 in the Samsung has better single core performance, and the majority of the apps these laptops are used for are single threaded. This laptop is a downgrade in every way, aside from a little better multi-core performance, of which neither are great in, and you'd be better off with a different form factor if you really needed it.

8GB RAM deserves a thumb down. The manufacturer is doing this intentionally.
