This is literally the selling point for a ceramic grill. Quality materials are heavy and it retains heat for efficiency. If you want a camping charcoal grill of course this isn't it. If you want a low profile grill you can smoke, grill, and make pizza in then this is it. 200-900 degrees worth of flexibility here.

As someone who is only used to gas grills, will I find this harder to use? Is this good for cooking Chicken and Veggies?

This thing is a work of art, it broke my heart to have to return it, but its a crappy grill for its intended purpose. its not portable, its heavy and it stays hot for a long time. Cleaning is also a pain. If you need portable and Kamado style, the Akorn Jr is superior, its light, cools fast, warms up fast and has a larger cooking area.

I only used propane grills until I got akorn this year.. I've not gone back since getting it. It takes a bit to learn at first to understand the timing to get to temp but after that.. ez-pz. Watch a few youtube videos, get some burgers, cheap steaks and try it. its been 4 months I won't go back.
