Doesn't seem to be a good deal, same or similar model is on clearance at Lowes:

https://www.lowes.com/pd/Samsung-...1003081538

The reviews on there indicate some issues with Samsung freezing coils, poor customer service and cheap shelves.

@ming1981 how long have you owned this refrigerator? I have a similar model about 7 yrs old, with similar looking back panel and for past 3 years, our freezes up every 2-5 weeks. I wouldn't touch this thing if Costco gave it away. There is a tiktok user https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZT8N6dvkj/
that informs regarding this defect and thousands of people have gotten full refunds, even after being years out of warranty. My case wasn't worth pursuing since my unit is among the oldest affected by this horrible design and Samsungs customer support obstructs for months before doing anything. It should really be a class action suit. I will never buy Samsung appliances again.

in the spec, it can fit 34"-36" wide, but the refrigerator is 35.75" w, so how can it fit into 34" space? My space is really 34" only, anyone can tell me if I can buy this?

I know the ice dispenser in the fridge freezes/breaks never heard of the freezer ice breaking however.
I have a Samsung with dual ice makers about 10 years old. My freezer ice maker died within a week of the one in the fridge, both shortly after the warranty ended. Samsung refused to help with either one.

The one in the fridge was near impossible to find parts for, and took almost 6 months to come in stock and arrive. The freezer model took almost a year to get parts for.

Both died again in less than a year.

I'm stupid. I'm trying one of their newer, redesigned models. If this fails to satisfy, I'm on the "no Samsung ever again" train for life.

A close family member has a similar 3-door Samsung fridge that he purchased a few years ago and it is the bane of his existence, every month or two the defroster freezes up and he has to move all the food out, take the defroster cover off and melt the big chunk of ice that forms there using a hair dryer. Of course it did not start doing this until it was out of warranty, and he tried some of the fixes shown on YouTube but so far they have not helped and he is getting really sick of trying to remedy the defects. He has told me that he will never buy another Samsung appliance. This is an issue that has affected many people who purchased this fridge (which is why there are YouTube videos about it, I suppose) but suffice it to say this thing was poorly designed and gives a real black eye to the Samsung brand. The one pictured here looks like a cheaper version of the one he has, the main difference being that there is no in-door ice water/ice cube dispenser or LED display on the one pictured here, but that doesn't mean the internals are any different. Knowing what he's gone through, my opinion would be that it would be better to choose another brand and avoid this potential future headache and expense.

Is this a good deal? Is it reliable?
Samsung appliances are poorly engineered. I had a Samsung side-by-side for 6-7 yrs and it would constantly defrost everything in the freezer, we'd have to throw food out every few months but I couldn't afford a replacement at the time.

After reading so many horror stories about service techs coming out and wasting your time by either telling you they can't fix it, or replacing parts to only have the same problems, I was hell-bent on just being done w/Samsung anything. It didn't help that their tablets, phones and ranges were also randomly catching fire.

When there was ice that didn't melt into a solid gigantic mass in the ice maker that needed an ice pick (in addition to the bottom freezer bin that was a repeatedly a gigantic ice cube from the leaking), the dispenser just shot ice all over the kitchen floor every time in every direction.

The floor under it had mold growing because of constant leaks from the freezer but I didn't know this until I got rid of it - idc about the flooring as much because I plan to replace it, but I'd be upset if it was better flooring as it is warped where it leaked.

Also, food in refrigerated side went bad very fast - food poisoning central.

I couldn't afford a new unit until last year. It's a world of difference and you can feel the cold air coming from the refrigerator section when you open the doors. No leaks. Ice stops when mechanism is released. It's nice not searching for those ice cubes or stepping in random, surprise wet spots.

I agree. Worst purchase ever for me.

They make great TVs and phones and that's it. I'll never buy another appliance from them

Tom O'Shea is a legend. I was part of the original Facebook page and they had clear instructions for me to get a refund for our crappy Samsung refrigerator after the ice maker kept freezing despite 3 "repairs" then suddenly stopped cooling one night and found a pool of water in our kitchen.

Don't buy it. Mine died within a year. They came out for seven repairs, all requiring a day off of work. I went without a fridge for a month and the Samsung one sat not working till it went to the dump.

The one at Lowes is $96 more expensive. They also charge an extra $150 and for 3-year protection and $50 for the haul away, while Costco offers both for free.

The 34" measurement might be for the width of opening needed (such as a room door) to move the refrigerator through with the refrigerator's door handles removed. The 35.75" is probably how wide the refrigerator actually is. Good luck with it, I bought a 28 c.f. Samsung refrigerator a few years ago as did a relative, both have problems. I would not buy another one. I bought a Samsung stove at the time too, and that has had a common issue with broken knobs. All four cracked at the mount but I fixed them myself with wire instead of buying new ones that'd probably break again in a couple of years.

Your garage fridge is supposed to be 40+ years old, but it refuses to die.
Exactly...or something you bought off Craigslist or MarketPlace for $25

Hope they make these better than they use too. I had a lot of issues with mine. Biggest being drain freezing up and water leaking to bottom of the fridge.
