Definitely one of their best flavors. Either one as they are similar. In for one. Going for the dumplings as it is cheaper.

Glad these are the 18.8 ounce cans rather than those small 16 ounce cans that I have been receiving lately.

Do Chunky soups have this on the label, like Campbell's Chicken Noodle?

Campbell's Chicken Noodle Soup says, Contains bioengineered food ingredients.

The USDA defines bioengineered foods as containing "detectable genetic material that has been modified through certain lab techniques and cannot be created through conventional breeding or found in nature."

I'm guessing new wording for growth hormones .... Typical in this type of food

I think Bioengineered refers to genetically engineered ingredients. So, for example, this could contain something made from corn that has been engineered to be resistant to herbicides.

Growth hormones would probably mean chemicals given to animals to make them grow faster which may eventually end up in the meat in some quantity.

Thankfully federal regulations prohibit the use of added hormones or steroids in chicken or turkey in the United States.

I hope they do have bioengineered ingredients. That would be wonderful. Without genetic modification of crops, at least a billion people would starve to death. Opposition of Monsanto or monocultures might make sense, but being vehemently against genetically modified food is tantamount to being for the genocide that elimination of GMOs would cause.

I wish everyone had to have some basic genetic education to understand how restriction enzymes can cut DNA and how gene segments can then be ligated or "glued" into place. Maybe if they were more familiar with the process, or even did it themselves in a high schol class, they would be less like primitive people seeing basic science as witchcraft.

Any idea on the shelf life / "best by" date they will be sporting?
I often eat things well past their stamped life, and can benefit from the high sodium these carry.
I know they taste good as I survived on them in college back when they were crazy cheap in the sub $1.00 range - and bigger!
