Where do people figure out if the RAM is soldered or not? I found info that it comes with one 8gb stick but has two slots. It also says there is up to 16GB offering but I don't know if that means only an additional 8GB stick can be added or if that's just what's offered from the factory.

The specs say the RAM is expandable, so that means it is not soldered. There are also Youtube videos of people opening up the laptop to upgrade it and you can see the RAM comes in regular slots.
