Totally ridiculous that this has been upvoted so much and some of the comments are even more ridiculous.

Equivalent oil is $5 a quart at everyday normal prices and available from Mobil and Pennzoil for $3 to $4 a quart after rebate.

This is mostly for European models that also have turbos and other stuff. If you want fancy stuff for Nissan I would recommend Idemitsu like this one Idemitsu Full Synthetic 0W-20 Engine Oil SP/GF-6-5 Quart (30013012-95300C020) https://a.co/d/dTzzs0s since it's designed and used for majority of Japanese made/designed cars (make sure to match viscosity that your specific model uses).
In reality any good full synthetic should be adequate and plenty as long as change cycle maintained properly (newer models include computer notifications which base oil life on work cycles and take into account majority of things so once it notifies that oil needs to be changed it's best to follow computer recommendation).
For German stuff LiquiMoly is one of the best it seems though.

I just bought an ecoflow dual fuel smart generator and it has an r80-i engine and I have been hesitant to purchase oil for it, would this be a good option? manufacturer specs call for sae 10-40 sj or higher. looking for recommendations ( I know this is 5-w30)

This is a good price for 1l but note the 5l comes out to about the same price per liter as every day amazon s&s price. Still bought some just because why not

My 2017 Volkswagen uses 5-40, I think most modern German cars call for 40 weight oil.

Link to a BMW LL-01 or MB 229.5 specced oil for less than this?

If you buy the large jugs, your can find stuff a bit cheaper than this pretty regularly (example: https://www.amazon.com/Castrol-03...0161A4CKG/) but you don't usually see these euro-specced pills for drastically less than this. If you're not too worried about sticking to the spec, there's plenty of good, cheap oil out there, but if you're going to overpay for a car you kind of expect to overpay for their very specific oil requirements too.
