They're completely normal sized for a bookshelf speaker. Are you going to make a crack that tower speakers are super tiny because they're not 30 stories tall?

Little harsh for near field listening. Tweeter is hot at close range. Living room these are incredible though. Bass is extremely good for their size.

Good product for a good price. Would pick these up but too big for my desk.

Yeah, kinda wonder how they call these "bookshelf" when they're over a foot tall. Guess they'd *support* a bookshelf...

How are these compared to the BR03s? I've seen those recommended a lot, but wondering how the BR02s are in comparison. They would fit my space better.

Omg this came just in time to furnish my new apartment next month. Amazing!!! Can't wait to use these with my tv. These have AMAZING reviews, at $200 this is a no brainer.

These used to cost 300. I wonder if some of the parts inside like crossover or drivers have been changed to reflect the current price.

I have them both (using BR02s for surround) and unfortunately these are in my opinion no where near as good as the BR03s. they are a small speaker so you expect bass to be worse but tweeters also are not as clear. My personal preference for a small affordable bookshelf are B&W 607 (or 707 s2 or s3 if you can afford) or Martin Logan 15i (or LX16 or similar).

I have these. Very good sounding and also matches well with the type of components they will be used with. I read that the BR03 have more bass and lower bass but the BR02 have tighter bass. I have been using a Loxjie A30 DAC/Amp and am happy with this combo. Its about $400 for the loxjie and speakers which is a excellent deal for the quality of sound.

afaik, no changes internally... only thing they released in the last 3 years are different finishes.

Note that these are ported out the back so they should not be pushed up against a wall. (The BR03s port out the front.). Great speakers and quite small for bookshelf speakers.

I wonder how these sound for my taste. I don't have a large room, so one review here isn't sounding great, a little iffy, because they would be in a small room or a shuttle bus.

I worked for a company that sold speakers and liked the Energy CB-10s because of the bass and sound quality. I'd love to get a set of those. Great for music. I'd like to find something similar. I almost want to cut my speakers down just to save from selling them for almost nothing. I have some Mirage Omni Polar floor standing speakers I could let go of, but the sound would be great for a bookshelf style. I already have some DefTech BP-6 and BP-7006 powered speakers, so I don't need any other floor standing speakers in my small bedroom, because I can't fit those already.

Dumb question, but can I plug a record player into these and get them to work or do I need an amp to plug the record player into and then plug the speakers into the amp ? Thank you

Not a dumb question because there are active and passive speakers. These are passive meaning they would need some amps to power and move the speakers.

So you would need an amp to plug the record player into and then connect the speakers to the amp.
