For the love of God, would it kill them to put in a 1080p camera? These 720p cameras provide crappy images. A high-end laptop with a really low-end camera.

I checked out some of those Best Buy reviews and there seems to be a common issue with display backlight bleed and coil whine. Buyer beware.

It's ram, it's like the easiest upgrade known to man.
Or it can be built up to standard in the first place. Like the Acer, Lenovo or Dell that have been on here recently with nearly exact same specs. This one you get to order new parts then immediately take it apart also making sure it's compatible. 🤷

Before this Asus didn't give a camera at all.

I agree, with the current low ram prices, what's another $30 in ram for Asus to bring it up to 32GB ram from factory for a flagship $2.5k msrp gaming laptop? That's only 1.2%. Just seems cheap.

Same with not offering an 2TB SSD option since that's just $30-40 more today,

In my past experience, the Asus M16 model laptops have 4 different lengths of screws (15 screws total) attaching the bottom cover, including a bunch of screws hidden under glued rubber gaskets to get access to the ram sodimms or ssd slots. Not to mention the waste of throwing out the factory 2x8GB ram to put in a $60 2x16GB ram kit.

Not a very luxurious experience for a new owner looking to upgrade the minimum acceptable 16GB factory ram (for a over the top, future proof high perf laptop).

Pity there isn't an option for an 4k 18" 165hz or even 120hz display option (so one can watch 4k movies along with 4k res for strategy games not needing 240hz.)

An Oled or HDR mini-led display like the 16" Asus gaming laptops or Acer Predator 18" laptop would be nice too.

I also see some open boxes for $1900-1950. Pretty good price for a 4080 laptop that's on average 43% faster than than 4070 laptop gpu.

The 4070 is only 18% faster than the 4060, the 4060 is only 16% faster than the 4050. So this gen, the 4080 is like a two level step up from the 4070.

Be happy that PC laptops haven't turned into Apple with everything soldered and overpriced 5-10X market value. At least they're not soldering memory into the motherboard like the 2022 models.

Lies. 4060 and 4070 has virtually the same performance above 100 watts

Is it pretty quiet on silent and tolerable on performance? How's the battery life with the intel cpu?
