This is, hands down, the best TV Streaming box on the market. If you hate Apple and their products, make this your one exception. It just works so much better then almost every other streaming box/stick/interface out there.

What the Costco online support wrote in regards to backorders on the Apple TV 4k. For reference my original eta was August 25th.

I love AppleTV but for me the biggest downside is that I cant sideload SmartTube which makes watching YouTube actually bearable.

I bought two of these things during the last sale on 7/11. I tried online CS chat as well, and they told me it'd be a 1-time lifetime-of-membership price adjustment for the two devices.

I'm not a big Apple fan, these are the only two devices from them I've bought. And the way I set them up, uploading all apps and logging into them individually outside the AppleTV app, it takes me a fair bit of time to set each of them set up. So I took the one-time price adjustment deal.

If this happens again, I'll just do the exchange thing...

Was able to kinda price match through target.com chat feature. When back and forth a few times about the "discount" they could offer. Was $30, then $40 and finally $50. I see the order adjustment has a $50 discount (partial refund) - but this amount was taken after tax.

I'm not going to squabble over a few dollars. Especially seeing the time and fuel it takes me to drive to my local costco.

I bought two of these on 7/11/2023. I just tried the chat thing, too, and I asked the CS person how it could be cost-effective to Costco to have two used devices and me still getting the latest sale price on two new ones if I did the return and re-order. He replied that, while he saw my point, it was Costco's policy...

Please, Costco, make it make sense!

Yes, but it's different than the YT app on Roku. As of a few months ago, comments on the ATV YT app were not available. Looking on Reddit forums, appears that others have been waiting a number of years for this.
