Beware this thing is not able to charge my 14 inch MacBook pro with USB c with full wattage. Only up to 85. But with magsafe it is able to charge at 100w. Some weird tweaks either by apple or by anker but good to know before you buy
It is a very good deal.
And it is an excellent brand.
Having said that...burn the house down?
That gets thrown around here just a little too often. If people do exactly as others say...then POOF..there goes the house.
Here is the thing though. There are literally MILLIONS of aftermarket chargers in this country.
And I am betting that you have never...ever...even known a person who has had their house get burned down with one.
Not read about in the paper.
Not saw on the news.
A person that you know. A person that you personally have had a conversation with.
Now could it happen? Yes. Of course, somebody will win the Lottery. Somebody will get struck by lightning. But I am betting you have not met any of those people either.
I am not suggesting that people do not give opinions on quality. But maybe a little less "Karen" in the opinions.
Most of the brand are just reseller, they go to China bought the cheapest quality then put their name on.

My cheap usb charger got burst. Lucky i was there🤣
Recent cheap ush c… 40 or 50 watts (not sure). Bought $5. Died after 2 months. It has marked burn side🤣. R av power and a u key and usbased… still work. Including anker, bestbuy, amazon basic..
Great YouTube review: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a...1j8&t=291s
(+) Very low idle consumption
(+) Meets DoE Level VI requirements for idle power consumption and minimum average efficiency (IV logo, confirmed with test)
(-) Very high voltage ripple (can heat battery / reduce lifespan)
(-) No PFC

Curiously I cannot find a product page for this charger on the Anker site. I did find some tech/gadget site articles and reddit posts, however:
