We have requested this thread to be stickied over here but it hasnt happened yet so I am making a thread with a link so that us DSers can easily find it (hopefully).

Also, if it seems that TPTB wont listen to us that we HATE this *upgrade* I would like recommendations of your favorite forum style deal sites. Dont love insta for deals. I read over at eyeheart but dont participate there yet. Is there someplace else I should be? You may need to cloak recommendations so they dont get censored.

If anyone dpes share feedback here, I will try to copy it and post it in the proper thread as well.

Can I ask if this is something where there is wiggle room...that if you get enough complaints you might consider keeping the classic view?

I'd really love to give you an answer however the mod team doesn't control the tech stuff. That's why when I saw your thread, I came in and asked for anyone with feedback to please post in the thread in the Announcements forum in order to make sure your thoughts on the matter are heard by those that do make the tech decisions. I'd also suggest giving those responsible for answering questions in that thread a little bit of time to answer.

Does this mean all deals will be listed separately? The deals will not be clumped together like now-in one forum/thread? Will our drugstore forum look like the Hot Deals thread? If so, I'm done.

Im in search of another forum type deal place like here (classic), AFC or WUC back in the day. What I meant by what you highlighted is that I dont like going to Instagram for deal ideas. It's not horrible for searching for clearance stuff in a particular store but I dont like it in place of a forun type site for weekly drug store deal shopping.

I have no idea what this means for the future of SDs other than TIIC seem to not care about what members prefer.

I am not aware of any other forum type deal place, other than the heart s for CVS and Walgreens. I read along over there, but don't participate, for a number of reasons.

I read on the heart s that people have troubles with their current site as well (clunky, hard to search, difficult to follow updates, etc). So while I feel lucky to still have classic, I'm not sure how I'll feel once I get stuck with it, or if any other site will be a better option.

I do recommend we all keep offering questions, concerns and ideas in the main thread so maybe they'll realize it's worth keeping classic for those of us who use it. I recognize there's probably some cost associated with keeping multple versions going, and I know I certainly am not making them any money.

I have to agree with those here--change is NOT always better and usually makes things more difficult. Why these changes in the first place?

That's not true at all. SD is only as good as the people who post and you're in the Hall of Fame for sure. You kept the CVS thread going for many years and run the Safeway thread. If you left SD, a lot of people would go with you. SD should listen very closely when you say something.

I pretty much never venture out of the Drugstore Forum, so I'm clueless as to how the displays will change. I was at HCW before I showed up here (and only because a poster here would steal the ad I typed and never give me credit), so I'm sure I'd find another site. The only Lounge posts I've ever made was when the Target Chat thread (RIP) was located there.

Me, too! I was on HCW before I came here. In those days, this site was a bit scary! People were not nice! Things did evolve and deals were very helpful as they were spelled out. That was killed off by the shelf clearers.

You just brought back a lot of memories. There were mean posters, but there were and still are many noteworthy and delightful posters. Hopefully, things will be clearer in the coming days and the tech people will consider those of us that aren't fluent in their language.

I still the traditional (classic) Slickdeals view on one computer and this new one on my other computer.

I really don't like the new view at all. The blue and white alternating background and tight spacing made it easy to scan deals quickly. Now, the lines seem puffed up in the new view and without the alternating blue and white background stripes, it's harder to hone in on a particular deal I want to read about. I see fewer lines and despite this, it's still harder to keep track of which line than before. The bottom line: I don't seem to be checking Slickdeals as much, because it has lost efficiency for me.

If I'm not an outlier, Slickdeals participation will wane.
