I think you need the Winters' Expansion in order to use 3rd person mode.

No reason buying Gold Edition. All the DLCs not on the Disc. I may waits for $10 on BF.

I used the 3rd person view in the Gold Edition and turned on the PS5's motion sickness settings and still I started feeling sick in about a half hour.
I hate this game and I hate when 1st person view games tack on a 3rd person view option as an after thought. It never looks or feels right.

Maybe you should try turning off the motion sickness settings instead to see if you still get motion sickness. I'm glad you guys brought this up. I couldn't play RE7 due to motion sickness, and this is the first time I've heard that RE8 causes motion sickness as well. I'm prone to it. Thanks.

I just finished this game earlier this week. I loved the first maybe 4-5 hours but the last two bosses and especially the ending was very disappointing. I played through RE 7 last week and playing these games back to back may have made Village feel much worse than it actually is.
