If you're buying high-priced Michelin tires ($900+ for 4 tires), the new discount will be very similar to what it has been for the past 9 months.

Match with Discount Tire/America's Tire if you can. DT/AT usually does not include their road hazard warranty (Add 10% of tire price to total price).

(Except for Pilot Sport 4S. This one has been low stock all of last year, all of this year, and higher than normal price because of that shortage).

Agree, I used to only get tires at Costco but recently switched to Discount. Costco tends to be very slow when it comes to rotations and often gets behind with appointments. In my area rotations usually take at least an hour, while Discount has you in and out in under 30 minutes.

Pro-tip: If you have a 'Discount Tire' locally, they will match the price to the penny. I prefer Discount Tire, as there are multiple in my City, they are faster and more friendly.

Didn't Costco used to offer 150 off Michelin's now I'm seeing only 100 off. Am I going crazy?

In the end I went to Costco and buy a whole new set of tires (not Michelin) and as soon as I left and hit it, voila, no more shaking!
Morale of the story: they did not want to acknowledge a bad tire that would not stay balanced at high speeds...

I had similar experience! Costco shift blame to wheel and my tech said wheel is slightly out of round but I shouldn't feel it. So I push Costco do another balance and shaking gone!

Back in the pre-covid time, they did run $150 off + free installation for executive members. I don't see those deals anymore.

I remember when it used to be 200 off, and they did penny install day. Now it's barely a deal. At least they still have cheap batteries and my Subaru dealer gives me 10% off service with Costco card

I found a set.of 20 inch rims for $600, that normally go for $1200. DT was selling for 1200 and salesperson said he can't price match that, it would be a loss. The store manager contacted the regional director and they told them to price match it. DT is awesome. Been buying tires from them for 20+ years

I'd like to explore DT, but from what I read so far, DT cannot match Costco price to the dot because their tire warranty costs extra whereas Costco one is already included. Is that correct?

But 245/60/18 and 255/60/18 is out of stock.

If you bring your own wheels that's slightly not OEM spec, will Costco still install the tires and balance it for you?

OEM spec: 17x7 37.5mm
new (used wheels): 17x7 50mm

Will also be bringing some aftermarket tpms...
