Roughly half of those negative reviews were people not reading the description complaining about accessories not being included or shipping issues. But the other half were people with legit issues of broken parts, DOA, dirty, etc...
I don't think its much to be concerned about . If you figure only 25% of people leave feedback when they have a positive experience and almost 100% leave it when they have bad experience it really doesnt scale out to be that bad for a "refurbished" product.
I also wonder how many of these are costco returns for people who got them for a hurricane, never used it, then returned them or people who only needed it for a day then returned it.
I remember seeing people returning these to costco after a hurricane scare a year or 2 ago and i asked if they would sell me one for a discount lol. I was told they send them right back to the manufacturer.

Just sharing the deal so people are aware it's out there. I purchased this one and don't care other than to spread the word & deal.

I have very little interest in playing Russian roulette with whether it will start up when I want to use it, and cleaning out the carb and system is far more than a five minute job.
That's why I bought the dual-fuel and run it on propane.
I took went for an electric start dual fuel and plan on running it on propane.
I have three 20 lb tanks and might get a fourth as I want to keep one for cooking.
So two or three 20 lb tanks should last 2-5 days depending on usage.
After that I will use gas.
As to a fuel cutoff. I read that most of these smaller units actually have a fuel shutoff as part of the off/run/choke switch. Just turn it most of the way to off and the engine will run out the carburetor.
I think it's perfect, lower noise. Especially when running on propane. Then even lower if running on eco mode which is perfect for camping, working in yard, even working out of the back of the truck. Comes with a charger to charge the internal battery and even a set of cables to charge an external 12v battery (dead car battery, off grid, pumps, winches)
I'd fully recommend
