Hard to say if 4-5% negative, based on listed reviews, is good or bad not knowing how many units are going out. Most people don't leave good reviews but you can be certain people with bad experiences will.

Roughly half of those negative reviews were people not reading the description complaining about accessories not being included or shipping issues. But the other half were people with legit issues of broken parts, DOA, dirty, etc...

I don't think its much to be concerned about . If you figure only 25% of people leave feedback when they have a positive experience and almost 100% leave it when they have bad experience it really doesnt scale out to be that bad for a "refurbished" product.

I also wonder how many of these are costco returns for people who got them for a hurricane, never used it, then returned them or people who only needed it for a day then returned it.

I remember seeing people returning these to costco after a hurricane scare a year or 2 ago and i asked if they would sell me one for a discount lol. I was told they send them right back to the manufacturer.

I posted it as it was buried in the other post for the less powerful one. The one that this morning went out of stock & I posted that it came back in stock.

Just sharing the deal so people are aware it's out there. I purchased this one and don't care other than to spread the word & deal.

Does this provide enough power to keep a deep freezer and a fridge on during a power outage?
Yes, this one should have enough power for both of those.

Where are people seeing the 2 year Allstate warranty? All I can find mentioned is a 90 day manufacturer warranty.

It's part of ebay's refurb policy

In my very humid area with wide temperature swings, untreated gas left for more than a few months gums up the whole thing. I've had good luck with Sta-bil and Startron making it last a year or so.

I have very little interest in playing Russian roulette with whether it will start up when I want to use it, and cleaning out the carb and system is far more than a five minute job.

That's why I bought the dual-fuel and run it on propane.
I already had two small generators. One 20+ year old 2500 watt PowerMate that looks like a pressure washer, and a PowerMate PM2200i inverter I got from a post here.

I took went for an electric start dual fuel and plan on running it on propane.

I have three 20 lb tanks and might get a fourth as I want to keep one for cooking.

So two or three 20 lb tanks should last 2-5 days depending on usage.

After that I will use gas.

As to a fuel cutoff. I read that most of these smaller units actually have a fuel shutoff as part of the off/run/choke switch. Just turn it most of the way to off and the engine will run out the carburetor.

That'll keep your food cold and frozen and run a TV or two. That's about it (but important stuff) and probably a good size for small campers. I don't have much camper experience.

You could run both of those on a unit with a third the capacity as long you don't plug them both in intially at the same time (because of power on surge current). Can run a chest freezer, refrigerator, a couple of LEDs lamps, and recharge UPS with a smaller harbor freight generator.

How do you hook this up to serve as backup power for a house? Can you use the NEMA TT-30R on this with a breaker interlock?

Is there any way to get 240V out of this unit?

Can this be converted to run on natural gas?
Yes. You'll need a low pressure regulator and the hose/fittings to connect it to the generator. The included regulator is for Propane (high pressure) only. nashfuel.com has great information and can assist you with the correct regulator. DO NOT run the generator without a regulator. Without a regulator, there is nothing to stop the fuel flow if the generator quits.

I've owned this model for a couple years now. My 4th generator overall

I think it's perfect, lower noise. Especially when running on propane. Then even lower if running on eco mode which is perfect for camping, working in yard, even working out of the back of the truck. Comes with a charger to charge the internal battery and even a set of cables to charge an external 12v battery (dead car battery, off grid, pumps, winches)

I'd fully recommend

Probably worth mentioning this ebay refurb doesn't include that charger or 12V cables.
