Buy a 6 pack of oil, an air filter, a cabin filter, etc... so they all ship together. Cheaper and good selection if you're picky.
I did see some mention of a supertech 5W-40 euro fluid but can't seem to find it in stores right now. Used to sell for about 28 per 5 quart jug.

I absolutely know how to do it, but I'm not exactly thrilled to store a jack and stands in my 1 BR apt
Because they don't want people dumping it into catch basins or in their lawns, it's been made easy to dispose of it properly. Many auto parts stores have a big bin you can dump it in where the carboy is then sent for recycling; town transfer stations often have drums or areas for disposal. Also, I find that independent auto shops will often use waste oil in a burner as heat in the winter. Very easy to dispose of used oil properly these days.
That's inflation for you. My point was that OE filters aren't as cheap as some claim them to be (unless you apparently have an in at the dealer in which case yeah if my uncle ran an auto parts shop I could get shit for cheap too), and OE's aren't making their own filters, they just have a major player rebrand them. You'd be surprised at how many people, even bright ones, still think that Toyota et al has a plant that makes wiper blades, oil, oil filters, etc for their cars.
If you look at this toyota vs. fram video you'll see the difference (not sure about Honda)

I also went back to Toyota for wiper blade refills. Theirs last 2-3 years and don't cost much more than the Costco Michelin? wiper blades.
Can't say for certain for all OEMs but I tend to believe that their requirements are a bit higher than Walmart or Costco which buy on price alone.
