It looks like they cut prices on the Model X and Model X Plaid. The base Model X now sells for $79,990 while the Plaid now sells for $89,990. All color options are included too. It also seems as if it might now qualify for a tax credit.

Edit: Model S prices were slashed too.

Model S base model $74,990
Model S Plaid $89,990

Uhhh how much are you spending on rent/mortgage!?

If you have mortgage then your take home pay is like $9500 per month at $150k. The model x costs about $8000 per year if you own it for 8 years (after tax credit.). Not too crazy.
I really can't justify spending that much money on a car. I'm still driving my 10 year old BMW that I bought for $35k, I'm going to stick with that.

Anyone dropping $80K on a f**king car has no need for Slickdeals.
How you think the people that do afford that 80k+ cars, do? Not everyone owns a McDonald's franchise.

But seriously if you buy a plaid the thing has a price floor because there's always going to be speed demons that want an 8 second car that can gap a $300000 Lamborghini or Ferrari at the strip. In 5 years you can resell the plaid for $60k guaranteed to some dude who wants to embarrass Lamborghinis at the drag strip.

Hellcats has similar price floor due to guys wanting to be able to say their car has more hp than other cars. Those have fisher price interiors.

It's not some 7 series bmw that has a bunch of gimmicks that quickly age and the car plummets in value because it's out dated the next year by bmw, it's a drag strip car that also happens to be a luxury vehicle

How is your guarantee works? will you pay 60k for it if no buyers found?

Im about to order a G80 BMW M3 manual base spec for ~$82k. After the price drop, Ive been tempted to get a Plaid instead...but as a car nut, Id much rather have a car that provides me way more feedback, fun, engagement, etc than just straight speed. The consumables and maintenance are going to cost me way more in the long run, but meh...you only live once and it's going to be my last ICE.
Maybe test drive them both first. I have a 6mt f80 and just ordered the plaid bc of this price drop. Next will be a 911 gts, hopefully they'll still have a 7mt by the time I no longer need a sedan for the kids.

I don't believe Tesla lets you buyout your leases. You have to return the car.

Now you're categorizing.
Is it the fastest car ever made? No.
Is it the fastest production car ever made? No.
Is it the fastest production sedan under $100k from the Factory? Possibly if you don't count the Demon 170 which is a coupe.

Also what you classify as fast isn't the same thing as I do. 0-60 doesn't mean fast to me, it's quick. Quick to get up to speed. Fast is something that can do a 1/4 mile, 1/2 mile, or top speed. I don't disagree that instant power is great, I was just pointing out the stupidness of saying it was "the fastest car ever made." I've got an Audi S4 that gets 3.2 0-60's with just a simple OTS tune, they just don't come that way from the factory.
No one cares about your Audi lmao you alright??

I have a question. What happens 3 or 4 years down the line when the battery health is down like the phones we use. Do you pay to get the batteries replaced or is there some kind of coverage? Been wanting to get an EV but holding myself back thinking what happens next.
My 9 year old model S has about 10% range decrease. Not an issue

0-60 1.99 seconds. Name some production cars faster than that.

audi S4 owner bad mouthing a plaid, hilarious. My 8 year old neice was just telling me about how usain bolt really isn't that fast when you talk about 1/4 miles times..... What a clown. I would bet my left nut that you have an aftermarket BOV.

Even if electric cars were great(they're not) and I had the money to buy one, I wouldn't touch this thing after hearing dealers say they won't touch them because Musk plays games with the pricing. He has got to go. He is not fit to run any company.
What t f are you talking about? Because of tesla price reduction, other competitor has to reduct the price too. Isn't it good for the market? Dealer doesn't like because they are fking loser

You can hate musk for whatever reason. But you cannot deny that Tesla car are one of the best ev car on the market. And tesla charging network is the best.

I owned two Evs and recently test drove Hyundai, ford. None of them coming close to Tesla's software. The only issue I see for tesla is their quality control

$100 per day in Uber for average America, $36500 per year.. so you plan on dying in two years lol
Also, at the end of 2 years, you have a residual value of around $50,000. Uber has no residual value.
