Mined failed in less than 6 months with thermal issues. Dell sent me a refurb in a super flimsy box and it showed up shattered. Took weeks of arguing with their "customer service" to do anything with my 2 broken monitors and I need it for work. Finally got a refund after the BBB and Attorney General contacted them. Avoid.

I saw this comment on a different forum and found it interesting for this monitor:

https://www.dell.com/community/en...21b3b018a4

"I had mine exchanged for burn-in after about 1 year. If you are planning on using it up to 16 hours a day with static panels, you will guaranteed get burn-in patterns from your static software.
Also note you are only allowed 1 exchange for burn-in according to the Customer Service Agent I spoke with. It's not unlimited for 3 years.
And also note that an exchange monitor might be a refurbished monitor, and it will not come in the regular box but a completely different box.
And in my case I went through 2 replacements because the first one they send me had issues.
And then to top it off on my current replacement I wiped off the protective coating in 1 corner of the screen. so I am going to attempt another RMA."

I have an insurance claim that allows me two 34" monitors for around $800 each.

It was either this Dell, or the Asus ROG Strix. Thinking to go with the Asus as I don't want to risk burn in.

Which Asus Rog Strix model did you go with?
