No I mean, the Monoprice guitars and Amps are rebranded Harley Bentons, from what I have seen. The Tube amps definitely are.

Good point. I just wanted to remind people that the amps there tend to be 240 volts and thus the same product, different supply, with Harley Benton on it.

How necessary is a cutaway. Big deal or doesn't matter?
Looks matter; but are not primary like being very playable. But I can see the head stock and back are the middle shade between light and dark wood stain and different woods; which will look light at one angle and its lighting and yet different in another. But if you have one, do you like the look up close?
I did see this is a satin finish, not glossy; if you care.
ADD: They make some stuff you rub on progressively to make it more glossy. So you can get the preferred satin, neck back feel; but shiny.
This body size should be full and loud. Some reports confirm good sound. VERIFIED.

The Fender is a pinch more expensive, but comes with more useful gear. And that name on the headstock… that sticker alone might be worth the price difference!
While the price difference is not huge; due to being both lower, the stand is said to be easy to knock and not preferred.
It is best to buy the guitar and get the incidentals separately; unless they are included at no extra comparative cost.
Adorama has Boroughs acoustics for $49.95 for your comparison.
P.S. I didn't like the tone of that Fender or that Boroughs.

OK, I bought it! The Idyllwild by Monoprice
1. Good sound due to SOLID Spruce top. Meaning not laminate layers.
2. Price was still going and was only $72.21, taxed (credit adj to $60 + tax see post below) out the door with FREE shipping 3 to 5 days ground. Brand new!
3. I found just some reviews and decided an overly decorated acoustic wasn't my style anyway. I also liked the rosewood fret board and bridge. The back looks a little light maybe; and it might be basswood but that's a good guitar wood. I only wish the front of the head stock was darker stained and maybe cut different; but it's fine. I may reshape it if I don't like it. I kinda liked the shape on the Boroughs headstock; but heard they can arrive rough fretted and not the best quality. Luck maybe.
4. The neck was also said to be nicely playable.
5. And reports say the frets come smoothed and action low. We'll see.
6. And it's a dreadnought, loud like it's amped up. Sounded pretty balanced to me; but YouTube sound is not always the best way to tell.
7. Monoprice rep and return policy, for low risk. And no, I don't buy all my music stuff just there; but I do love my Stage Right 15W all tube combo. Watch for it to go on sale! About $202.
8. Nicely shipps with extra strings, the gig bag; that is padded and also with a tuner.
I'd say you will not find a better deal (even used for SOLID Spruce top sound; which is a little but can matter a lot) and the price may go up. A lot. They can easily be over $300. And way over.
I'm surprised the deal is still running at this price and I ran out of excuses, not to buy this myself. LOL. I do not buy racks of guitars and gear. So far anyway.
Wow that was 15 days mulling it over! When I had the time. That's the way to do it kids. No snap purchases. LOL. I'm surprised I got in under the wire after that long.

Hint: You have to be willing to cancel, if not left processing yet, or return it and wait for another possible sale and then they might rather adjust, and they did credit.
I certainly hope you got it at $60 like I did ! Highly underrated Dreadnought acoustic for a solid top Spruce; that sounds much better and looks good, not overly embellished. If it was not fancy enough for you then you missed it. I almost did.
And I still have the return policy, if anything goes wrong (shipping, blemishes) or I just do not like it. Low risk!
Note: The warehouse is swamped; so somebodies buying a lot.
A real slick deal. If you don't feel a bit like a bandit then it might not really be a slick deal.
