Currently grinding this with my espresso machine. Overall the taste does get muted in my cappuccinos but it has a good flavor when you drink it as a macchiato/hint of milk. I still taste a bit of the sweet notes when doing espresso milk drinks and it makes for a great drink. Will go for a darker roast next time but it is great for the price

5/10 means medium roast. Not the quality of the coffee bean. Lavazza makes good coffee. I have had all of their flavors. I run a small coffee shop in my kitchen. I say this because I run a ton of coffee pots through my Bunn Coffee maker every day and every week.

Don't get all the complaints about this bean. Makes a great cup of cappuccino with my baratza grinder and breville espresso machine. Very forgiving and still a strong cappuccino too

5/10 "intensity" means it's a weak ass bean,
it has NOTHING to do with what roast they do.

lava has plenty of medium 8/10 intensity beans
which means they yield more flavor than 5/10.

This is probably the best medium type coffee bean and for the cost even with no SS discount, it's still a bargain compared to Costco prices on coupon.
