Price changed to $129.99 on Amazon (9:30AM Pacific 9/8/23)
Deal History includes data from multiple reputable stores, such as Best Buy, Target, and Walmart. The lowest price among stores for a given day is selected as the "Sale Price".
Sale Price does not include sale prices at Amazon unless a deal was posted by a community member.
Everyone keeps saying they're waiting for Black Friday or Prime Day or whatever, but it's been awhile since I've seen a Black Friday where prices were better than what you get throughout the year if you really just took advantage of the deals that pop up here on slickdeals. Black Friday is mostly for people who don't browse deal web sites regularly in my opinion. The sales tend to be on par with or slightly worse than what I've seen for things throughout the year just looking at front page deals.
It's a good price for sure. But this drive was 129.99 back in July during the Amazon prime day deals. The next prime member exclusive event is coming yet this month. I wish knew exactly what was going to be on sale cause I need another one of these drives and I'm not gonna pay a lot for this muffler! 😁

Can vouch for this. I bought a couple of these for $129.99 back in early-to-mid July. They were $169.99 each with a $40 coupon for each. I would think similar prices should be around around the holidays, too, but don't quote me on that. lol.
Same price at B&H, not sure if the link will work because I've had this site censor me on several things lately for not being approved vendors or products.
It's $128 with Perks At Work via Samsung's official website for the 2TB. Just bought 2x there.
Nice company. Never understand why companies like Samsung offer sweetheart deals to other companies when those employees are the people who can afford the most.

I too have noticed the same trend. The typical hike in price then the big sale on the big day, only to match the occasional price drops seen throughout the year from various sellers. But this brand of drives is one that has been very consistent over time. After-all, gen 5 is here now, so this thing should only come down in price. So let's hope history repeats and offers a new and better deal on the big day, that always extends a week, and then extends the entire month. Cheers 🍻
Samsung EPP/EDU has at the above-mentioned price for $128 and can be picked up at Best Buy. In addition, you might have a $25 off $250 coupon for a first-time buyer.
You can get the Solidigm P44 Pro 2TB on Newegg for $130 right now, but waiting a bit can save you ~$20. The performance on this SSD just doesn't justify it's price. It's still very good, but the differentiator is the software, which I imagine 99% of people won't care about.
Peak speeds, sustained speeds, and IOPs. The WD850x is a close second in overall performance and actually better in certain tasks. You can't go wrong with either one. I just bought a pair of the 1TB WD850x's the other week when they were $54ea. If you run them in raid 0 they'll beat anything currently on the market.

Worth noting that they just announced a 4tb version of this drive. Seeing as I want this to be my "forever drive" in my 4.0 m.2 slot, I think I'll hold out for that one
