Everyone keeps saying they're waiting for Black Friday or Prime Day or whatever, but it's been awhile since I've seen a Black Friday where prices were better than what you get throughout the year if you really just took advantage of the deals that pop up here on slickdeals. Black Friday is mostly for people who don't browse deal web sites regularly in my opinion. The sales tend to be on par with or slightly worse than what I've seen for things throughout the year just looking at front page deals.

It's a good price for sure. But this drive was 129.99 back in July during the Amazon prime day deals. The next prime member exclusive event is coming yet this month. I wish knew exactly what was going to be on sale cause I need another one of these drives and I'm not gonna pay a lot for this muffler! šŸ˜

Be very careful buying these Samsung SSD's, they have a very high failure rate. Plenty of poor reviews out there for several EVO series.

I picked up the 970 EVO plus from Best Buy on 10/21, less than 2 years later, it's dead, don't boot anymore. Ended up, reinstalling the OS on my sata HDD (which was supposed to be replaced by THIS JUNK) and ran Samsung Magician, it shows Critical Life and SSD needs to be replaced. Seriously, $154 for freaking 1 year 11 months usage? Not worth the money and I will be getting a SANDISK ssd for $35 to replace this trash. At least 2 years run will be still worth it.

In real life there is not much difference in same gen performance. Capacity should be first criteria. At this price you should be looking at 4tb drive.

78% drop with earnings report. Samsung definitely thought wrong by keeping high prices with less production instead of going with sales like everyone else. I feel some big sales coming up.
