My experience buying Intel enterprise storage used is that they are commercial server farm pulls with trivial read/write history, but a lot of online hours. They're rated for around 10M online hours, so even though they've been powered on a lot, it's a spit in the ocean of their rating.

And since these drives are rated for total writes in PETAbyte range (10+ mostly), they have more write life in them than most brand new drives.

I'm negative about most used/refurbished drives. But not the Intel enterprise stuff..

Biggest selling point of these is probably their overall ruggedness and their ~10 PBW endurance, which is waaaay higher than a commercial drive.

Doesn't seem so. This series is more designed for heavy reads vs sustained writes.

Theres one review of these on the amazon page, and the reviewer claims this burned out a day after initializing

How do I find out if this is compatible with my PC? I have a large 40L HP OMEN that could really use some more storage.

There's no way an enterprise drive like this doesn't have dram.

So it can tell if smart data has been wiped? Or you are saying if seller wipes smart data, you have no clue if its new or not?
