I bought the previous deal in Late Aug. Just tried to activate and all the phone has NO service plan. Now Im getting the customer service BS when I call tracfone that tracfone and tracfone ebay are different. Tracfone ebay not even responding to my ebay messages.
Please check the previous thread. Lots of people are dealing with this issue.
Or if you do order, activate soon in case you need to file a return.

I have had great luck in the past buying one of these and a $1 BYOB sim card from either Ebay or Amazon and transfering it over to an unlocked phone.

Verizon owns these guys now. Typically if the phones are made for a carrier, they only pay for the specifc bands that carrier likes to use. Apple make one phone for with bands for all US carriers so it makes it easier. But Samsung has/had different models specifc to each carrier. So you might not get the best results using these phones on someone else's network.

Those days are over. 7000 used to be the regular reward for AAL, 10k was over the holidays. Now it's 500 for AAL. Don't buy expecting anything even close this winter.

Exactly what happened to me. Tracfone support wastes your time and tells you to e-mail ebay but doesn't have an e-mail address for you. Basically they just blow you off to get you to drop the issue. Happened once to me on a tracfone ebay phone and twice on tracfone ebay "1 year service/1500 min/1500 texts" cards.

I would say don't waste your time and energy.

The true cost is much higher than the quoted price due to hassles, wasted time and paying for a plan that isn't delivered.

I keep them for my kids, who aren't old enough for their own phones yet, but who are old enough to be occasionally be somewhere out of the without a parent. When we are dropping someone off at a friend's house, school event, etc. we'll have them grab a "kid phone".
