I have this. Bought it for this price. Love it. I still find it suspicious that it's going for like 40% off of MSRP less than a year after it was released. Are not enough people paying to upgrade to Dirac so they gotta make it more tempting?
Btw, when I zoom my projector to cinemascope I can no longer see the volume OSD on screen, whether it's on top or bottom. My 2019 Denon had a bigger volume bar for the OSD and I didn't have this problem. I contacted Denon and they responded with boilerplate not helpful advice, so I have have to use the Denon app to change volume when I watch movies. 1st world problems for sure.

I apologize for the potential that my comment has to detail the conversation. I am weak and take bait easily.

You don't print billions, drive the cost of goods & housing up 20-40%+, and not have an impact.
This is like saying CPI only ever topped out at 7-8%...according to who? The feds whose best interest it is to keep CPI low 🤣
Luxury goods purchasing has slowed WAY down, expect deals to continue.

I currently have a Yamaha RX-V685 powering the line of Klipsch RP-8000F with matching center, (2) surrounds, and two Atmos on-top speakers. I use this in a smaller room (12x14). I am wondering if there would be any benefit at all to going this route or if it would be absolute overkill. Maybe the 2800?
I have considered having 4 Atmos speakers installed in the ceiling, which I suppose would warrant having the capability for 9.
I always thought it was weird that the back actually has 11 amp channels even though it only has the 9 amps. I want to know if there is an internal upgrade possible?

If you need 9 channels this will work.
If not, what are you looking for that the 685 is not giving you?
