Enough iphone 15 will be available in US, Chinese not buying due to Mate X5 and Mate 60 pro. No wonder pro price kept at $999 instead $1199. Just wait a little many offers will come.

I cannot stress this enough. This is not worth it. Their customer service is *abysmal*. If you have ANY issues, be prepared for weeks of calls talking to people who speak words, but don't understand anything you're saying.

I actually called in to cancel my mobile service because it would not let me do it online and they could not successfully port any numbers I was trying to bring after 3 weeks. They cancelled my INTERNET, and left my mobile active, even after I specifically said "I want to be clear, I do NOT want to cancel my internet services." and verbally confirmed that with them twice. It was an absolute joke.

Most likely it will be same as apple, you'll need iphone 14 pro max 1tb to get full $830 back else get $100-$200 back

If you solve this let us know. I have the same issue. With all the challenges with XM customer service I am pretty sure this is going to screw things up and you will be in a world of pain.

I am not taking the chance and plan to port out the number and port it back in. I have had some porting issues in the past with XM but if they get all the numbers right and the passwords and stuff it works pretty well. Just make sure you have the customer service rep triple check as they are not very good at data entry.

Think about it this way. porting is something they do every day 1000s of times. moving eSims and converting sim to esim and not screwing things up is not something the typical customer service rep will have ever done.
Yes, you can disable the esim & add physical sim. iPhone supports dual sims (one physical & one esim). You can also keep switching between these sims whenever required. I have done it & disabled the esim currently l.

Note: you would still paying to Xfinity for the line cost though it is disabled in iPhone

mate is trash cant even run google apps according to reports. dont compare android to apple either as most users will be loyal to their OS and not necessarily the hardware of the phone.

If I pick the new line but want to use the iPhone 15 on an existing line with a SIM card, how can I do this with esim? Is it even possible?
Activate the new line with esim & disable the esim service in iPhone under cellular networks settings & add physical sim from existing device. Enjoy

Note: you will continue to pay for the new line to Xfinity

Since iPhone 14 series, US models are esim only. You can have 2 esim if needed

Can you clarify this for me? My daughter has an Iphone 12 and was thinking about upgrading her to a Iphone 15 but she's going on a school trip to France next year. Would she be able to use her Iphone 15 on XM in France next year?
Yes, she will be able to use her iPhone in France, but it will be an additional $10 per day in service charges for international roaming while she is in France. So, if she will be in France for 30 days, and uses her phone every day, you/she would pay an additional $300 for the 30 days whereas if she were to buy an unlocked phone, she could get to France, get a local eSIM and use that for $30 or less for those 30 days.

Maybe but unfortunately you can't have it all. If she wants to keep her number, then the easiest option would be to pay the $10 a day. If you want to keep costs down, there are plenty of ways to do it with a reasonably priced local service providers at your overseas destination along with apps like Facetime, Whatsapp, Telegram, Teams and many many more.

For instance, if you are someone who has a Microsoft Teams number or another US VOIP number, you could very well use your Xfinity mobile number while you travel overseas while using a local SIM. All you need to do is enable call forwarding on your Xfinity number to forward calls to your teams or other VOIP number before your plane takes off. I do this every time I go overseas and still get my cell phone calls without breaking the bank. I just spent 2.5 months overseas, paying less than $4 a month for excellent mobile service and 2 GB of data every day. Compare that with $10 a day for Xfinity and you may notice that it would add up very quickly to almost what a new iPhone 15 might cost without any discounts and prior to taxes.

Can you have another eSIM on an locked phone?
Buy a phone with new line as line 2.
Activated line 2
Can I move line 1 to the new phone? May not work if it's SIM restricted.

Xfinity mobile has WiFi calling capability which includes SMS capability via WiFi. This means she should be able to keep her number for calling or texting as long as she has internet or WiFi.

I've used it for my international trips previously. However, she may need to reboot her phone every now and then to get the SMS working again - I had to do that for some reasons.

You cannot just move from iOS to Android or Harmony OS (which Huawei is using). There were Samsung Galaxies and Folds and what nots available before, but people did not ditch their iPhone and rather many people moved from Android to iOS. Just because Huawei builds a new phone which is fast, does not mean everyone is going to move to Huawei. It is still going to have the buggy Android system underneath and those invested heavily in the Apple ecosystem are going to have a hard time moving
True, both not everyone is willing to shove out hard earned money to upgrade their iPhone just for USB C port.

There is literally no difference between the last 3 or 4 generation of Pro Max. Yes yes, a more power chip and that's about it. But if you have 13 or 14 pro max, there is no noticeable difference.
