I usually get the rotor + pad sets from rock auto. Even the premium ones are pretty cheap ~$100.

OEM engineering also states up to 10,000 miles between oil changes for ideal driving conditions and lifetime transmission fluid. The same OEM engineering is also pressured by executives in MARKETING to sell their products as low maintenance and cost effective. Just saying ...you decide.

Apparently, his car is more special than that. But OK.

I own 4 cars currently a '95, 2000, 2009 and 2012. 2000 is a race car, so it's a little different animal when brakes are concerned. The rest, all RWD "sports" cars, whatever that means on the street nowadays, have brakes just like any other street car in the last 40+ years - about 70%+ of braking done with front pads and, as the result, they last about twice less than the rears. But, again, the OP and others are more than welcome to their collective opinions regarding this. Free country. Keep changing those pads. It's actually cheap and quick, so no harm there.

Im running Akebono Ceramic Pads on my TOY Corolla 2010 to drive Uber, putting 300-400 a week City Miles. After 6 months and 20K miles they're almost gone. Good pads if you're not putting a LOT of Miles on your ride. I need something that will last a whole year of heavy driving.

Strange. I get 60k out of them driving a Chevy suburban with some towing. Sometimes more. Probably 50/50 highway city. Are the ones oyu have proact ultras? Or just ceramic?

I paid $65 on Amazon. They came without a BOX just a bag and instructions. I complained with amazon about been knock off and they send me some certificate of authenticity by Akebono (can't tell). But, i have tried akebono previously and again they didn't lasted a whole year (Ubering 6 times a week around 100 miles a day)

Answer to Your question is: i just bought Ceramic Akebono Pads.

And now I've gotten used to regenerative braking and two-lane roads with double yellow lines and red lights. I can't remember the last time I panic stopped since avoiding interstates like the plague.

copper grease for lube? sounds like anti-seize was used?

Copper grease is better for front brakes sliding caliper pins performance, boiling point is over 600F. Is $$$$ though.
