Search Oneplus 11 on SD. There is a post with a link for oneplus 11 best buy open box. Keep looking there for open box on bestbuy eveveryday. I keep checking and get a 16gb green one for $400.

For Android, you should not look at the model but the cpu it provided. Qualcomm CPU suffered from Samsung fabrication which cause overheat and power efficiency issues. The snapdragon 8 gen 2 is the one you want to get which is manufactured by TSMC.

8+ gen 1 is not bad. 8 Gen 1 without + is the bad Samsung one. The thing is 10T has no oneplus mute switch.

Thanks for the info, just looked up comparisons from my Pixel 6 vs the One plus 10/11 - wow. Impressive specs for the price (and just flat impressive). The one thing that I noticed that I use daily is no wireless charging. I thought that was standard on mid-range to top tier phones now. Why the change? The extra battery life isn't enough to help when a 20 minute drive is already equal to the better battery on the other phone (car has wireless charging built in).
Yeah, to my knowledge, OnePlus has never embraced wireless charging.

The excuse used to be that they offered flagship quality devices in the mid tier price range, and in order to do so things like wireless charging and ip68 ratings didn't make the cut.

Once their high end devices started costing high end prices (with exception to the deals we're discussing), not sure why that was still on the chopping block.

Even though I personally do not use wireless charging on any device, it would irritate me to no end to have a car capable of doing so, and my phone not able to benefit lol

What happened to the spyware issues on Chinese phones
It still exists, that's why I have Pixel Experience Rom on my OP 8 5G. I use Nova Launcher to cut down on battery usage. It's like having a new phone. Nothing wrong with OP support on updates, I just wanted a clean ROM. You can use the OP and use ADB AppControl to remove unwanted apps. That's what I was using prior to the PE rom. Wish I had the money to upgrade, but really not needed at this time. I'm very happy with my OP8.

10T has 8+ Gen1 which is fabricated by TSMC not Samsung.

In terms of performance/power efficiency, 8+ Gen1 (T) ~ 8 Gen2 (T) > 865 (T) > 855 (T) > 845 (T, prototype) ~ 835 (T, prototype) >> 8 Gen1 (S) ~ 888 (S) > 845 (S) > 835(S).

Samsung is about 5 years behind TSMC in reality:
Samsung's 5nm = TSMC's 14nm = Intel's 10nm = SMICS' 14nm
Samsung's 7nm = TSMC's 22nm = Intel's 14nm = SMICS' 16nm

Legacy examples include iPhone 6s (T) is about 2.5 times of standby time than S version, 3 times longer playing mediocre games, although Samsung claimed its chipset was more efficient than TSMC's at that time. Conversion rate: Samsung * 2.5 = TSMC; Samsung * 2.1 = Intel.

Avoid any chipsets fabricated by Samsung at all cost.
While I get your point, you are getting too far in comparison, and some of them are extremely exaggerated. I am still using an S21 Ultra with SD 888, which was fabricated by Samsung Foundry, and it runs exactly the same as it was the very first day, and it's rock solid! Unless you are pointing to synthetic benchmarks where new gen cpu's have advantage on paper, there's no way you can actually even feel the difference if you are just a regular user. I never experienced overheating, battery issues, freezing.. So please don't confuse regular users with too much technical stuff cause even the 8 Gen 1 would be more than enough for almost everyone.

Can someone confirm that getting the 11 is reasonably better or is this worth it at the price point? TIA
Yes, getting the 11 is better. This isn't a bad deal though by any means. When you buy OnePlus, you are getting the performance of top tier phones at midrange prices though you will sacrifice certain features such as wireless charging. I don't know what you would have been upgrading from but unless it was a top tier new Samsung, it's awfully likely you would have been very pleased with the 10T or the 11. I'm a OnePlus guy and been buying them for years...just bought a Nord 30 about 4hrs ago for my younger brother. They put out good products.
