The fine print says minimum qualified plan is 75/mo. That's where they get you with these "free deals" - locking you in at high monthly rate for 3 yrs.

Quick math assuming you are ok with Visible/Mint at $30/mo - overpaying by $45/mo for 36=$1620, that's what you are paying for the "free iphone".

If you live in an area which has good coverage then better buy an unlocked phone and get a carrier of your choice than getting robbed by these guys for 36 months.
I have an unlocked phone & pay $20 per month for service. Can't be happier.

Best bang for the buck is if you already have a family plan on a higher tier, and planning to stay with AT&T in the long run.
We have 4 phones and 2 watches with AT&T. We pay ~$185.00 per month (we have the educator's discount).
2 of the phones are on the AT&T Elite plan (I think it has been replaced by another plan). We do get free HBO as that was part of the older plan. We upgrade every 2-3 years. I do similar deals as I am happy with AT&T and do not plan to leave it. If you call them or chat with them politely there is a very high probability that they would waive off the activation fee. I have yet to be denied. Just sharing my experience.
They allow you to just have one phone line on the old plan to get HBO Max. I ended up switching all mine but one to avoid the new $2.50 charge for that plan.

I just upgraded 2 phones on my T-Mobile Magenta Amplified plan at Costco to 15 Pro Max and traded in 11 Pros 64gb. The 11 Pros were acting up and getting difficult to use. I got $650 trade in value each for 11 pro ($160 instant and remaining as 24 months bill credit) + $75 Costco gift card for each phone and no upgrade fee of $35 that T-Mobile charges.

Sure there would probably be better deals around Black Friday, but I thought this was decent for now as am getting $650 for a 11 pro. Also, the rep said the pre-ordered phones should be shipped on Sep 20th itself instead of 22nd.
Just did the same for two lines. One hour wait time and 30 mins to get it done. Was still much better and doing the kiosk thing in person. Between the $650 credits, the waived activation fees, and the $75 Costco cards that come in "a few months", I'm content.

The days of the prepaid cards and basically free phones are over. Was fun while it lasted. Heck, there were some Costco Tmobile deals where I actually came out a little ahead.

The most hesitant issue I have with this deal is it's through a 3rd party… and from personal experience, I can attest that if your trade in device is "lost" in transit, not checked in accordingly, or an issue with it; you will have lose your mind trying to get it resolved.

Take pictures of your shipment of the trade in device and ensure you take photo/note of the tracking info and label.

Trading in devices is always best practice done in store- but obviously, as in this promotion, sometimes that's not the best deal option.
Please someone confirm that the trade in could be done in store because Costco kiosk is no longer Wireless Advocates instead it is the actual AT&T and the people who works there I believe are AT&T employees.

Does anyone know a way to do more than 5 lines? I have 5 phones and an Apple Watch but ATT site is limiting to 5 total devices. Or could I process two orders after my initial order goes through?
My family plan has 7 lines. Go to Costco AT&T kiosk or corporate store to add more lines to your account

Anyone know how to add 2 new phones, a switch from another carrier. 1 upgrade for existing att, and 2 bring your own device att to a new family plan?

Every time we add these it goes fine until we try to add a line that is bring your own device, then it wants to clear out the cart and therefore impossible to complete this order.

Me and my wife are trying to get new 15's by switching from spectrum, while my father and mother who are on att already want to bring their 13 and 14 iPhones into a family plan with us, my sister being the other one on the plan that will also upgrade to the 15.

Anyone in a similar spot able to do something like this?

geez, for the free phone it's 36 months of bill credits. When we got our iPhone 13 it was 30 months.
Yes. Customers will end up paying approx $1700 by the end of 3 years just for the phone which is more than the full retail price. And after 3 years the phone would be very slow with the Apple updates and will force to buy a new one.
