Quick math assuming you are ok with Visible/Mint at $30/mo - overpaying by $45/mo for 36=$1620, that's what you are paying for the "free iphone".

oh true, that happened to me for one of the lines. I had to call ATT and waste like 1 hr on that. Just wait in the line until you are able to place the order again online
1) Incremental upgrade. USB-C isn't a, "must have" feature.
2) China. Apple moving production to India and the CCP placing restrictions on Apple devices for political reasons is expected to greatly reduce demand for what was 20% of the iPhone market. Whether the devices are banned outright or consumers prefering domestic alternatives for nationalistic reasons sales in China are expected to slump.
3) Health concerns. France has ordered Apple to stop selling the iPhone 12 due to radiation concerns. [france24.com] Yes, it's an earlier model, but for a younger or less tech-savy consumer the takeaway is that Apple products can be dangerous.
4) Recession expected. The inverted yield curve, record inflation and record credit card debt will not end well. The European Central bank is warning of a Global Recession [arabnews.com] later this year.
2&3 are dead wrong.
I want to trade in my iPhone 12 for a iPhone 15 Pro but there are tons of nightmare stories about AT&T and trading in. Most had to contact BBB and Attorney General of their state to get it resolved. Such a nightmare.
Anyone know if Costco Kiosks will take the phones in for the trade in value?

Google Fi is terrible for me in Dublin, CA area. No signal all the time. Looking to switch to ATT.
Take pictures of your shipment of the trade in device and ensure you take photo/note of the tracking info and label.
Trading in devices is always best practice done in store- but obviously, as in this promotion, sometimes that's not the best deal option.
I have the 13 pro max I got in 2021. If I want to get this deal, I have to "pay off" my current phone for $433 (13 payments left). But...I still have 13 bill credits of $27 left ($353)? Nope... those go away. This is a SCAM! ATT takes your trade in and then doles out your credits in an unfair way.
I at least thought att would just charge me the difference in the payoff amount: $433 -remaning bill credits: $353 = $100. After all, I would be committing to another 36months with them on a new phone.
Better off selling your phone privately. The ATT trade in value is generous but, you have to commit to keeping your phone for 36months to actually get the credit.
Sidenote. The hack got the Costco gift card if you didn't know is to buy the smallest bunch of bananas in the store with it and pocketing the cash back.
