The fine print says minimum qualified plan is 75/mo. That's where they get you with these "free deals" - locking you in at high monthly rate for 3 yrs.

Quick math assuming you are ok with Visible/Mint at $30/mo - overpaying by $45/mo for 36=$1620, that's what you are paying for the "free iphone".

If you live in an area which has good coverage then better buy an unlocked phone and get a carrier of your choice than getting robbed by these guys for 36 months.
I have an unlocked phone & pay $20 per month for service. Can't be happier.

It seems like some customers are still getting the credit even after paying off their devices. just in this thread alone it seems like a person was able to do this. I guess we might need someone to take a plunge to make sure this is the case. I might do it with my wife line as she only has about 12 months left

I got credits after payoff, but only because the credits didn't begin until 3 months after payments started.

I completed this but am confused now?

When I go to my account page for the phone number I upgrade it says there is a new contract. I have one of the unlimited plans, did I just sign myself up for a termination fee? Or when they say contract do they mean paying off the remainder of the phone if you cancel?

I have one of the unlimited plans and it comes out to like 45 USD a month including 50gb hot spot and HBO MAX so its a good deal, no need to change, but I don't want termination fees outside of the phone.

I paid off for the phone after couple months from credits showed up in my account and the credits continued for rest of the 30+ months. I talked to AT&T managers before I did that just to ensure I won't lose the credits but everyone at AT&T told me to wait for few months for credits to start rolling and pay it off. I paid it off so that I could unlock the device. Many of friends did the same, so it works.

If you're doing a promo like this where the bill credits come generally it takes 1 bill cycle to apply depending on when the bill is generated and when it is processed. But when u do it in store they give u a receipt right then and there. In fact I went home and asked an agent the next day if my trade In showed up and they saw it and gave me details from the receipt. This is the way to go for trade ins.

I'm transferring from T-Mobile. When I take advantage of this deal. How does the port process work?

My phones won't be here until 1-3 weeks, does this mean i will stay on T-Mobile until I get my iPhone. Or will ATT port bring me over right away to ATT?

Also have friends and family promo code applied
Last 2 years i could have added 2 free lines (so technically 5 total lines for same price) through those limited promos but then i really have no use for them whatsoever and didnt.
I can get the $650 trade in promo.
Problem is Google - Pixel 6 Pro gets $175 trade in - its 20 months old. Google just has fire sales after people buy the phone and undercuts the resale value of their own phones smdh.

You will remain on TMobile and continue pay for your tmobile service until your att order arrives. As soon you power on the att phones the port process will begin and could take 10 min and up to a day or two if incorrect info was given or if there is problems. Once the port is complete. TMobile will automatically end your service and billing. Depending on their prorated service policy you could owe $0 or up to your normal full bill.
