The fine print says minimum qualified plan is 75/mo. That's where they get you with these "free deals" - locking you in at high monthly rate for 3 yrs.

Quick math assuming you are ok with Visible/Mint at $30/mo - overpaying by $45/mo for 36=$1620, that's what you are paying for the "free iphone".

If you live in an area which has good coverage then better buy an unlocked phone and get a carrier of your choice than getting robbed by these guys for 36 months.
I have an unlocked phone & pay $20 per month for service. Can't be happier.

Has anyone recently ordered and been able to select the 'Return to store' option for the trade-in? On the Reddit thread, it was showing up, but I can't duplicate it right now.

I usually just take it to a corporate store and process my trade-in there. If I can avoid mail-in, I typically will. They give a receipt so you can always reference that when you need to contact AT&T.

I completely agree, but there's been reports of some corporate stores refusing to take the trade-in unless it is coded that way in the system.

Is the costco promotion of $100 gift card and $50 bill credits applies to any ATT upgrade ? I want to upgrade to samsung galaxy s23 by trading in my iphone xs. Can i get costco promotion for this trade-in too?

I finished an order for a new i15 for a new line. ATT later came back via e mail saying they couldn't verify my ID. They sure as heck could charge my credit card though!

I have to go to an ATT store to verify my ID. Will this mess up the Costco offers that were included in my original order? Anyone have to go through this?

I got a link to take photo of the ID. The first one failed, I just cancelled and reordered, the 2nd verification went through.

It really depends on your circumstances. I do a family plan with my spouse, my brother, and a couple friends, and I also qualify for the teacher/first responder discount. It works out to $26/line for 4 Unlimited Extra lines and $36 for 1 Unlimited Elite line (which includes HBO Max). We all qualify for the deal on this thread, and at those prices I'm perfectly happy to be "locked in" for 2-3 years.

FYI this is $250 in bill credits now when you switch plus a $100 costco gift card. Switched from T Mobile and got 6 new Iphone 15s (some pro some max) for $135 per month after the teacher/first response discount. Great deal

$250 for bill credits? so $350 total? that's awesome as I still have one more line to upgrade


edit: Never mind it doesn't apply to upgrades, just new activations. It seems like upgrades are still $150

Ughh. I have a 12 Pro and went to do the trade-in. However, my screen has burn in so that dropped the trade-in value from $830 down to $350. Ticks me off. I use the phone exactly as designed and now my value is more than cut in half.

Just got first AT&T bill following iPhone 15 Pro upgrade order and it did have the $35 activation fee. Did everyone still show fee? Will credit be on upcoming bill?

***EDIT*** - looked up terms: " then one-time $35 activ/upg. fee credit will be applied w/in 3 bills"
