Installed one of these in a she shed with a mini fridge, mini spit, toaster oven, tv, lights, etc and It's been fine for about a year. The shed is off grid with about 1500 watts of solar, there hasn't been any issues with power issues.
Solar input is limited to 110v/15a (Without avoiding damage per the input port, it has taken 1300 watts from solar while outputting minimal power without issue)
Can charge and output simultaneously.
Does not do 240 as it states.
Has an RV plug.(I use it to feed the mini split, fridge, toaster oven)
Concerns I have are battery related to quality/capacity/cycle longevity, fan noise, and internal connection degradation. I also worry about the solar input restrictions.(running 3s2p 36v 250w panels(I know, dated older panels, got them for next to nothing and customer was about to wire the house to grid)
I didn't push the unit hard, I did see it running over 1000 watts without issue.
Just a heads up if anyone is wondering, might be a dealbreaker for some:
Weight & Size Product Weight: 114.6 lbs
Not that I'm saying that is a lot of weight for that much battery capacity, it's not. But if 115lbs isn't something you lift on your own that might make this less useful. "portable" is a bit of a stretch

Yup but I have faith Anker and EcoFlow will still be around 😀
Agreed! Those are two fairly safe bets, for today. I wish I could see the future, but all I see is the past and how quickly kings have fallen. If I was in the market for one of these, I'd try to contact the manufacturer directly or a direct sales representative, just to see if a better deal could be negotiated over this slick one. It's just a phone call and some hold time, but it can/has/might save you hundreds. For those in the market for this or similar devices, a good company is just a phone call away to a potentially better deal.....Worst case scenario, at least you learn how their "support" system works before you make the purchase. That's money in the bank right there.
Cheers 🍻
Interesting deal. Does this have the ability to have solar panels hooked up while plugged into the wall and charge the battery via solar unless charge drops to a defined threshold and then switches to AC charge? I use this feature on the Delta 2 and I love it but hate the solar input limitations of EF products.
There is a port on the side for solar. It is limited to 110v and 15a. (It also says 1000 watts which doesnt add up)
It can solar charge and power output simultaneously. I don't know the input/output limit while charging and outputting power. I know it can charge 900 watts solar while outputting over 1000 watts.
I think my ecoflow battery said solar input was limited to 60v 10a and 400 watts. The 1000w probably means you can't get too close to maxing out both the v and the a at the same time
30A is useful for RV usage but the 240V EV fast charging input is really a point of minor importance, especially since it charges already at 1800W on AC.
For good quality LFP cells at well under $0.5/Wh this is a much better deal than something like a EcoFlow unit with the EV fast charging, which is easily double the price.
Ev charge port would be clutch if you did an exterior hookup to a sprinter van. Recharge while you shop, instead of dragging extension cords everywhere. Plus you get to steal a parking spot from a Tesla.
$2100 is a great deal for this size of a battery - has anyone bough this unit yet? I already have the EP500 and so the wife won't let me by another power station but this one is so tempting.
Ecoflow, Bluetti or Anker. You can go on Youtube and there are multiple videos on there comparing all the major brands. The videos I have seen on this model are so far good as well but I still don't like to spend that kind of money on companies that aren't as well established.
I have this one and I think it's one of the best generators out there if not the best. Only thing I don't like is they proprietary the shit out of all their cables making you spend $100-$200 just to connect some things up. This model has also been on sale recently for $2500 or less and will likely continue to drop in price. ($2550 right now at Costco)

eBay has it refurbished directly from manufacturer (with 5 year warranty when registered with ecoflow) for a little over 1800$ using the Save20extra coupon.

How long would this run a 5000btu room AC or a refrigerator? I live in a condo that doesn't allow propane or gas storage and would like something to get me through a bit after a hurricane hits
Looks like typical cheap 5kbtu room AC uses about 400-500w. So, at 5kW, I guess you can run it continuously for about 10 hours. I think small fridge is probably another 300W but also, if you run it continuously which is NOT the case so, combined, it will be around 800W, continuously, it will be around 6 hours of runtime using this bad boy but realistically, I think probably more like 12 to 18 hours if not longer.

Thank you for your answer. This may do the trick then depending on how long it would take to charge via solar panels. Whether this one or another it looks like I need a minimum of 5kw

Hit me up if you find something and I'll do the same as we need a backup 240v for our well also.
lacks a 240V fast charging input
UPS functionality is a plus.

Thanks for finding that. My only worry with refurbished is that the batteries are already showing wear
