Thanks! I'll look into them too, are you happy with the notifications they provide? I'm so annoyed with Arlo and their blank camera went off notification. And then the thumbnail would fail to update in the app and recorded video was locked to a single device 🙄
I actually turned them off on the front yard one, as I am next to the street and I am too lazy to tweak the motion detection areas. I used to use their cloud option and the SD card option, but found the SD card worked fine for me and I have them on Wifi locally. The entry level 35 dollar one on Amazon that has pan and zoom for indoor use is pretty decent, I actually have a covered porch and use the indoor camera out there, been that way for almost a year and no issues. They arent extremely fast comparable to others, but i use the desktop app more than my phone for this and you can 'dvr' locally to your own pc too if you want. I have to say in all of my cameras the fastest for this feature was nest, but nest has went way down and is now google handicapped and its a horrible product if you ask me - unless you are just all cool with 0 functionality offline.

Not sure what everyone is bitching about but ive been really happy with mine. Bought this on the last sale and been using them for a few months. I'm just recording to local hard drive and it works great. Not sure what all the complaints are about load times but mine load pretty fast, 5 seconds at most to pull up a recorded clip. Maybe if your internet is slow it takes longer but I have fast Internet. I also have it recording to a SSD hard drive. Battery still seems good, and setup is simple. Love how I don't need to pay to get basic recording when motion is detected or someone rings the doorbell. I mostly use them when I'm not home and want to keep an eye on my place. I would expect ring or nest or wyze to work better but your also paying alot more. On a budget these work great imo.

I just use Wyze cams. They are by far the best cameras for the money in my opinion. The V3 cams are awesome, and you can get them for cheap on sale, especially on woot from time to time.
Same here. Not enough resolution to see plates and lots of other complaints, but have caught many hit and runs on our block and sometimes can ID perp from what's visible

But the battery on these cams last 2years. Any other cam that lasts that long or more?

Not sure, but from what I've heard quality wise, I'd rather have to charge the battery more frequently. 3-6 months on the wireless wyze cams, but you can also solar power then if you choose. Note: I have no first hand experience with the blink cams or the Wyze, I just have had good luck with Wyze.

This is a very misleading quote. Between the 3 deliveries from Amazon, the mail person and all the other stuff going on a the front door, I ended up buying rechargeable lithium batteries and was replacing 4 months max.

Thanks. 2 years is probably no activity of just being on.

Thanks, I'm isn't Wyze always on the news for security flaws?

They did have a security breach I think a year and a half or so ago, but I've never had any issues and they work great. Almost every major chord processor has had issues as well, so it's not entirely avoidable. Definitely not good, but the pros far outweigh the cons in my opinion

Sounds like they took 3yrs to roll out new hardware to fix things.

Looks like recently
Wyze security camera users stumbled upon a possible privacy breach, as customers reported seeing the feeds and camera logs of other users.

I bought these in May and already had to replace battery on two. Customer service said too much activity, sorry about your luck.
