This phone was $91.71 over the weekend. It's available for a few cents less now at $91.68. Unfortunately, shipping is estimated for Oct 11th.

Previous threads say the Best Buy version is 6 RAM for $130. This phone is only 4 RAM.

the mediatek cpu is a big downgrade compared to the snapdragon 695.

Totally, though if you're a prime member the Amazon fire 7inch + would likely be a better experience and a bit cheaper (the 7 is $50 right now and supports a ton of video providers including Plex.) As a bonus there's no danger of the kid calling 911, which every phone including deactivated ones can do most places.

If youve never had a smart phone and just need it for phone calls and a quick search or music here and there, then it may be worth the $91. It'll be infuriatingly slow for most.

There's no reason to buy a unlocked phone to watch videos on WiFi.
Ger a prepaid phone, it's cheaper.
