The circular saw is the only tool I have from Ryobi that I am not actually a fan of. Blade tends to get stuck often in the middle of a cut. Frustrating. I tend to favor the plug in saws if I had a longer cut to make. For short cuts on 2x4 or something similar, Ryobi is fine.

I think it's really dependent on how much you use them. I've had Ryobi has my main line and do pretty much everything DYI. I've yet to be unhappy. That said, I've only seen pros use Milwaukee or Dewalt. I don't know how much beating Ryobi can take in comparison.

Looks like the Reddit post referenced here was updated to reflect that this may be a preview of their Black Friday sale. Perhaps it may not be October 23...

Does anyone know how the 6.5" Circular Saw compares to the 7 1/4" model?

Anybody have the mini chainsaw? I have a telescopic chainsaw from a different manufacturer, and after cutting so many limbs, the chain pops off. I'm just wondering if this thing stays together and you can get through a job without a lot of fixing along the way.
Hopefully you have properly tensioned the chain which is a normal operating procedure for any chainsaw…

I have HP and non-HP batteries - there is little to no difference. In fact, I think it's mostly marketing based on some YouTube reviews
Maybe they're fake HP batteries, because 30% more power it's very noticeable…

If my electric company is offering a rebate on battery powered lawn equipment, would it work on the "free" gift? Will the receipt show an adjusted purchase price for that item or will it show up at $0.00?

You can see the price in cart, the "free" gift discount gets distributed across both items.

You've got to always have bar oil in the machine and tighten as needed. A chain coming off is a maintenance problem, not an inherent design flaw.

I have the Ryobi 18" 40v chainsaw and it's wonderful. Never had a chain come off because I do the basic maintenance.

Also, never cut into the dirt. That will dull a chain almost immediately.

Rigid tools is the only vendor that offer a life time warranty! They call it a LSA [Lifetime Service Agreement]. One simple phone call, and the new battery is in the mail, on its way to my shop....all for the wonderful price of....FREE! Their lifetime warranty covers both the tools and the batteries.
Have you tried having a Tool serviced lately ?
Home Depot no longer takes them in for service. I have a Saw fail within 6 months, and In my City of millions, the closest Service center is 40 miles away. It's been sitting there collecting dust for a year..
