The circular saw is the only tool I have from Ryobi that I am not actually a fan of. Blade tends to get stuck often in the middle of a cut. Frustrating. I tend to favor the plug in saws if I had a longer cut to make. For short cuts on 2x4 or something similar, Ryobi is fine.

I think it's really dependent on how much you use them. I've had Ryobi has my main line and do pretty much everything DYI. I've yet to be unhappy. That said, I've only seen pros use Milwaukee or Dewalt. I don't know how much beating Ryobi can take in comparison.

Grease gun was tempting but then I'd have to buy something expensive that had grease zerks.

Careful doing instore pickup. Just got home with the 3 item deal and one had the wrong tool in the box. Someone probably bought the new one and put their old one in the box and returned it.

The main item, the drill/driver kit also looked opened. The Home Depot near me has become so awful, I should have known better.

I just need the impact wrench ($57.82 hacked) for the toss in the passenger car for the rare flat tire swap. How does this one do for just that?

Faster cutting and less vibration
Tool free blade change
Trigger and lock switch

PBLMT50

20,000 OPM
Tool free blade change
Sliding ON/OFF switch

Seems like the new one is better for less than $20.
Most of the specs on the newer one are only slightly better than the older one. The two things that seem significant to me on the newer model is the claimed cutting speed 80% increase (vs 30%) and the variable speed dial on top (vs on the bottom).

Not the HP batteries, though.. just regular batteries which I'm not interested in. I prefer 2Ah HP batteries rather than a 4Ah non-HP batteries.

Have you tried it with and without HP batteries and notice any difference? I don't have any HP batteries yet...
Never tried thee Ryobi thats why I suggest to watch vids. Own the Ridgid and have used it for several projects.

I almost bought the Ryobi angle grinder with 2 bats on this deal. If it came with HP bats Id be in.

Hoping they add the extended reach ratchets... and actually get the new 18V 12Ah in stock. That thing is gonna be nuts, Ryobi batteries are the best. I use them with adapters and DC-DC converters to run all my 12V electronics and car accessory plugs (portable fridges, laptop charger, spotlight for crabbing/floundering.

I've been doing light contracting and handyman services for 3 years with my Ryobi 6 tool brushed set. Laugh all you want, they have earned their keep in the work trucks and shop and I don't cry if they are left out in the rain. I've not been impressed by Milwaukee or Makita lately, they just charge too much for the same quality (comparing brushless to brushless lines)
Can I use one to run on a trolling motor or will it die pretty fast ?

The two I'd definitely stay away from are the sander and the circ saw.
What's wrong with the circular saw in this deal?

I ended up getting the mini chain saw + batteries, then the one handed reciprocating saw and returning the batteries on that set. $140 before tax on those 3 - mini chain, one handed reciprocating saw, 2 4Ah batteries is excellent! Thanks OP.
