The circular saw is the only tool I have from Ryobi that I am not actually a fan of. Blade tends to get stuck often in the middle of a cut. Frustrating. I tend to favor the plug in saws if I had a longer cut to make. For short cuts on 2x4 or something similar, Ryobi is fine.

I think it's really dependent on how much you use them. I've had Ryobi has my main line and do pretty much everything DYI. I've yet to be unhappy. That said, I've only seen pros use Milwaukee or Dewalt. I don't know how much beating Ryobi can take in comparison.

Saw something about location pricing earlier in the thread but if I order to my home in NJ, it's $200 for batteries and tool... if I order it to NYC (just changing zip code on order), it's $99... makes no sense.

What's wrong with the circular saw in this deal?
I'd like to know as well. If not this one, which do you recommend?

I ended up getting the mini chain saw + batteries, then the one handed reciprocating saw and returning the batteries on that set. $140 before tax on those 3 - mini chain, one handed reciprocating saw, 2 4Ah batteries is excellent! Thanks OP.
did you return the batteries to the store or just cancelled online before they ship them?

trying to decide between the 1 hand reciprocating saw and mini chainsaw. I already have a regular reciprocating saw and a pole chainsaw. wonderting which one would be better for cutting branches too big for loppers where the regular reciprocating saw is overkill or cutting shrubs at the root level which are too big for loppers. I am guessing but not sure the 1 hand reciprocating saw is better?
Mini chainsaw will be much easier and faster to prune one-handed with. For cutting roots in the dirt get a 12 inch carbide pruning blade for your regular recip. It doesn't cut nearly as fast as a chainsaw but you can plunge it straight into the dirt no problem. Diablo 12 inch 3 tpi carbide pruning blade is my go to.

Not that the circ saw is not good, it's just that it's a bit weak. By that I mean when you're cutting some dense wood, it struggles. At least mine does. But if you take your time, you can get stuff done. But like I said in a previous post, I have a corded circ saw for the demanding projects.

The highest priced tools - the greas gun, among others - should lower the drill/driver combo to the lowest cost.

I bought the leaf blower. I have one that I use all the time but wanted another set of batteries and
it was a no brainer getting another leaf blower for $20 over the battery and charger deal.

Anyone know how much I'd get back if I bought the 2 batteries and the impact wrench or mini chain saw and returned just the tool and kept the batteries?

If doing that, better to get the highest priced item (grease gun @ 159) to return. That's what I did, net for the two batteries and charger was around $40

Pricing appears to be regional. Someone earlier said it showed up as $200 in NY but $99 if they changed to a NJ store or something similar
