Per Tool (Mix of Brushed and Brushless): $33.30/tool (Only true tools. Batteries not counted. Chargers are not counted as tools in this figure. I did count two LED flashlights in kits.)

Chainsaw is faster, but all it takes is one embedded stone or pebble, a piece of metal fence, some old spike, ... and there goes the chain. A little bit of dirt isn't the end of the world. Anyway, I will readily use a reciprocating saw in the garden, even two of them, one with a new sharp pruning blade for the clean work ... one with an older blade of some kind to go through the dirt. Usually the outer end gets a bit dull first, but perfectly usable for a while for ground work ...
