I wanted to give a heads up on a potential future Ryobi sale at Home Depot. All credit goes to user on reddit, Life_of_Reilly for sharing images from their Home Depot store. Here's the link to the original reddit thread [reddit.com].

I've gone ahead and extracted out the SKUs for the products so that I can post here for people to research, review, etc. Please note this sale is not guaranteed, but the images do look rather convincing. Nothing is final and certainly things could change along the way. Pricing is subject to change. Take this info with a grain of salt. This sale may or may not start on October 23, 2023 and may last until January 28, 2024. I am posting the details for what I think would be the best deals available if the sale goes live.

This offer is now Live!

Note: Must add all items to cart to see discount reflected.

The circular saw is the only tool I have from Ryobi that I am not actually a fan of. Blade tends to get stuck often in the middle of a cut. Frustrating. I tend to favor the plug in saws if I had a longer cut to make. For short cuts on 2x4 or something similar, Ryobi is fine.
I think it's really dependent on how much you use them. I've had Ryobi has my main line and do pretty much everything DYI. I've yet to be unhappy. That said, I've only seen pros use Milwaukee or Dewalt. I don't know how much beating Ryobi can take in comparison.

Same. Lady wants a Dyson (because her friends have them) but I already have dozens of Ryobi tools and the new brushless vac was awesome when I tested my friend's.

Wish the 2 batt + die grinder would come back. $99 for the kit is better than the $85 for just the grinder alone

It seems like it gives 'error' messages when trying to place an online order. But they still have the signs up in the stores for this offer.

you can return either. the question of 'profit' depends on your personal circumstances.

I returned a free tool with battery combo and the lady refunded me the entire cost and let me keep the two batteries. That's profit.

One more question, when you buy Ryobi from HD do you get the extended coverage?
I never get the extended coverage. I've got tons of one+ tools and I've never had a tool die in less than ten years. Hell, I've only managed to break two and I'm about the hardest DIYer you can imagine who isn't a contractor. Just last week I smoked the Ryobi sawzall. I knew I was overworking it and it was getting hot, but I was under a time crunch and didn't have time to pull out my corded Milwaukee. I needed the job done so I just kept going at it. It probably helped that it was 12 years old and I want the new brushless model, so I didn't care that I was wrecking the tool. Short answer: no. These tools can take a pretty serious beating. Even if you buy twenty tools, you will likely never use the extended coverage.

I've never bought the extended warranty either. I had 1 of the new HP Hammer Drills have a switch problem in the first 6 months back in 2018 timeframe and it was fixed right away. I smoked one of the non HP multi tools using a worn out blade in a hurry to finish something. I replaced it with the HP version insted of messing with warranty. I still have some blue Ryobi tools hanging around. I'm also a pretty hard user for being that guy that fixes everything for friends and constantly building my own stuff because I don't trust "the professionals." No other brand gives you the value you get in the Ryobi line.

Yeah. I want that. Waiting for a sale on the 40v blower, though. Chainsaw, too.

I missed the Direct Tools Outlet BF/Cyber Monday sale, but they had the Ryobi 18+ and 40V blower on sale, which I thought were pretty good deals. I've got a cheapie Sun Joe blower that is adequate for sweeping the patio, but there are times that a larger blower would be nice. I'm invested in the Ridgid battery system, so I may opt for the Ryobi blower + battery adapter.

So can this hack be done with in store purchases also? Or does the receipt split differently if a combo is purchased off the shelf in store?

Ordered this + router on 11/8 for pick up at two different stores. Picked up and used router and expected batteries to be returned. Got a call that batteries would be returned on 11/24. On 11/27 I got an email that batteries had been picked up. Went in store and they had released batteries to floor, but not returned them. They had a note system that batteries weren't picked up and they weren't ever going to return the batteries. This method might be over.

Deal is dead. Might still be able to get in store but they completely removed the batteries from their website

Yes they 'disappeared ' the offer online but you can still go into the store and do this deal.

There was plenty of batteries left in my local stores and the large "Buy this , Get one Free" signs over the tool display just say "While Supplies Last" .

Hi!

So I just picked up a drill/driver and impact. I need bits and have none.

What do you recommend?

Thanks!
